Roof is now painted. And I am about done in. Quick trip to the PO and store and I\’m gonna call it a day…

Took a break and came down before I fell off. Gonna try to finish it soon as I get cooled off a bit.

Decided to go on and paint the wall first. Looks better anyway. Got all but 4 sections of the roof painted before getting dizzy from heat.

Guess I\’ll paint the roof in the morning and work on the wall after the sun gets off it tomorrow afternoon.

Just down from starting to caulk the east second floor wall. However, looks like it needs a new layer of plywood before I paint it.

UPS just ran. Got 300 grams of D-Ribose delivered to the door for less than I\’ve been paying for 250 grams AND driving to Gadsden to get.

Well, found the rollers, covers, pans, and one trim brush. No idea where my wide brushes are. Too hot now, will paint early tomorrow.

And it\’s already about too hot to try to paint the roof anyway. Guess I\’ll keep looking and get all the bits lined up for early tomorrow.

It\’s gonna be one of those days. Found the 5 gal bucket of paint, but can\’t find the brushes or rollers. Only 3 buildings left to check…

Gonna try to get stuff moved from room to room here at home this afternoon and tonight. For now am going to take a break with a book.

Was going to go to Cat\’s mom\’s house in Calcis today but time and heat caused the trip to be put off till tomorrow.

@BambiBlue Glad you got loose. Sounds like it would make a good show… :-)

Just back from the auction. Got 4 20/75 watt cf light bulbs for $6.60 which is a bit better than store prices. Was quite a show tonight!

Trying to decide if I have enough energy and feel good enough to go to the auction tonight.

Cut back some of the brush along the entry drive. Showered and gonna take a siesta now.

Though it looks like it could be wet again today am gonna try for the flea market. Almost packed and fixing to head out.

Got to order about $60 worth of parts to get the other 3 working right. Then they go up for sale.

And the amp will see an 8 ohm load as it was supposed to instead of a 4 ohm load as it actually was the way it came from the factory.

Just finished rewiring one of the monitor cabinets correctly and it works MUCH better now. As in the control actually controls the tweeter.

Think I will look at them again tomorrow and hit the sack tonight…

Not sure if it is just late or if the manufacturer (Sonic) screwed up or what. Doesn\’t look like they have been rewired.

Have 4 monitor speaker cabinets and the 3 I have checked have the tweeter control wired to control woofer AND tweeter. I don\’t understand.

Heading back out in a few to check some more places and to go get some wood for the table tops for the flea market tables.

Made a few good buys this morning. Got 4 pa speaker cabinets, some glass, light fixtures, box of cloth and other bits, but no books.

Getting a late start. Fixing to eat and then head out to the yard sales.

Trying the new Wordpress 2.8 Beta2

And so far it looks really good. It adds the ability to add themes without having to use ftp to upload them which is a real step forward. Will have to play with it a bit more to see what else has changed. So far +++ though…

Update: Seems a LOT faster too…

The Machine Stops by E.M. Forster

Below, you will find the complete text of The Machine Stops by E.M. Forster which was first published in the Oxford and Cambridge Review in 1909. The wikipedia page is at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Machine_Stops, and a movie based on the story is available at the IMDb at IMDb: Out of This World : “The Machine Stops”.

Quite an interesting story, and more so when you keep in mind that it was written (come Thursday, January 1, 2009) a hundred years ago! Enjoy!

Alabama Airsoft Forum is no longer at Technoprimitive.org

The Alabama Airsoft Forum is no longer at located at Technoprimitive.org due to excessive bandwidth requirements and no assistance from the forum members toward offsetting hosting costs.  While we were hosting the games there was some money coming in from the airsoft folks so this wasn’t a big deal.  However, it has now been months since the games were played here and I can no longer afford to continue supporting the increasing forum traffic, so I shut it down 2 weeks ago and have now removed the subdomain and forum redirect completely.  Since I am still getting hits from people trying to find the forum I am posting this link.  Please bookmark it.

The new site is located at Alabama Airsoft Forum.
