Yeah, there are things that could go wrong here, but it had to happen, and it took a lot longer than it should have. IFF (Identify Friend or Foe) has been around in one form or another for airplanes since WWII, and while it is not perfect (WTF IS?) it helps greatly in deciding who to allot your missles to. Or at least your attention to. If this just eliminates SOME of the sheep from the goats, it will help tremendously. And, I think the sheep will appreciate it greatly also……
