But if you put your /home directory in a partition of it's own or even on a drive of it's own then all you got to do is NOT format the /home directory and reinstall away.  All your data is still safe...

Glad you are trying pclos.  Tis the best I have used and I have a LOT of disks, that are different distros, gathering dust.  Did you go with BigBrother 0.93a?</description>

Just what I need, as you know. &lt;g&gt; I finally mastered some of what I need to know last night, and got PCLinuxOS going on a machine with hda &#038; hdb both formatted, and apparently working correctly. And, I also figured out how to access the Windoze machine I needed to! Now I can finally get going, and this site should help bunches!

Of course, by this time tomorrow I might have blown it up again, but, there's always the reinstall......&lt;/g&gt;</description>
