<description>So far Friday has been OK, about to make a walkabout and check a few things. We'll see how it goes then....

Will have to find out from you which thrift store and which restaurant those were. You really can't trust the hired (volunteer?) help ANYPLACE any more, "customer service" is all too often another way of saying "I don't care, what the hell are you bothering ME, for? I'm just marking time until I get home." I have gotten more likely to call people on the obvious stuff in the last few years; if they don't do like I feel like they should, I am MUCH more likely to say something about it. In a nice, but not that nice way. Self-defense. I see the "I work at Wal Mart FU" syndrome in a lot of places. Indicative of the times, I guess. I have been thinking about what RAH wrote/said about the signs of a sick society, and I think he is right. Still good folks out there, don't get me wrong, but there are a lot of people whom a good slap/kick would help along. Well, it wouldn't do any harm, anyway...

Did I mention that today was kinda, well, kinda? Going, but not without a kick here and there. I'll go out and check out some stuff, and things will improve. At least I have gotten so I can type, earlier my error rate was outrageous. Even for me.
