Yeah, there was a lot of damage in places. One of the ladies that works in Central Office had a tree hit her car. She took her husband's truck, but there were trees blocking the road, so she just stayed home. A couple of Bradford pear trees fell here at KSE, and the scoreboard at the high school was bent over. Saks High School lost 75% of its roof, and a lady was killed in Leeds when a tree fell on her trailer. Good little storm, and now they say we may have flurries in the morning. Oh, joy, and I'm feeling like I'm coming down with something.....

Just another week....

Weather alert woke us around 4. Came down, looked at the radar, grabbed laptops and went into the qhut. Got the flashlight and turned it on just as the power went out for the first time. Got a candle lit and sat till the worst passed, then went back to bed. Awoke a bit after 6 to find the power back on and weather radio making noise. Put it back on alert only and grabbed a few more zzzz. Coffee is perking now. Rain gauge showing 9/10s of an inch. Quite an active event. Will get out soon and see what kind of damage we have. I hear chainsaws in the distance in several locations around us so suspect there were quite a few trees taken down. Coffee machine has quit making farting sounds so will close for now.

'Twas a Monday--all kinds of stuff that had to be corrected. Most was, sooner or later. Had kind of a blah night, and woke up around 4:15 with the power out and the rain and wind and lightning going. Been up since then, no breakfast yet, and have felt better in my life before. So it goes....really miss the coffee.
