Got about another hour to get finished up out front but tis not in me tonight.

Course by then it’ll be dark. But that part of the project will have been completed. Working on moving brick and rock now. Then clean up.

Still clearing out front so I can get the truck close to the door. Figure another 2 hours should get me where I need to be.

Wheelbarrow and slingblade located and getting a workout. As am I. Came back in to put more wood on the fire and get something to drink.

With all the OTHER stuff that keeps getting in the way, I’m now hoping to get the rocket mass heater built by spring. Or maybe mid summer…

By , November 27, 2012 5:37 pm

Still got several loads of other stuff to haul to one place or another. Goting for the wheelbarrow to do that after I get my wind back.

Then needed to move some of the rocks out front so had to move the bamboo that has been drying since spring. Got that all moved finally

Looked for the easiest way to load the stuff here into the truck. So spent the last hour cutting back the jungle of blackberrys by the door.

Started clearing the other storage trailer. Found several boxes we had been looking for. Got enough space to move some boxes from here.

RT @MUSEmunkey: I really hate links that take you to Facebook #justsaying

Got a small fire starting in the heater. Cats have been fed. I is tired but still have many things to move/work on yet tonight.

Put a rain shield over the triple wall flue where it exits the wall. Been taking water in when it rains and tis susposed to do so tonight.

By , November 26, 2012 10:53 pm

Not to mention my back is so releved to not be picking them up like I had been doing.

By , November 26, 2012 10:52 pm

Built a cart for hauling large (100+ lb each) rocks out of an old wheeled weed eater frame and a board. Tis MUCH easier to move them now.

And finish the pantry I started several years ago. And other stuff. Guess I need to get back to it.

Gas 3 burner counter top that is. Build a work area for it to sit on and to store the broiler oven that we use rather than the big one.

By , November 26, 2012 9:45 pm

Cause once I get the first cabinet cleared then I can hook up the new sink, and replace the electric stove with a 3 burner counter top.

By , November 26, 2012 9:43 pm

And the cabinets, and the other counter(s) and cabinets and table. Oh, well what’s a few more weeks of must do projects added to the list…

By , November 26, 2012 9:41 pm

See where this is going??? Yep, so now the kitchen is about half torn apart in a clearing/cleaning spree to get the counter back.

Kubuntu impressions

By , April 9, 2008 11:40 am

Writing this on the Linux machine running on the Kubuntu LiveCD with KDE 4 beta and so far I am impressed. It found all the bits and bobs and booted right up. Doesn’t have Firefox so went into Konqueror and then to Gmail and it loaded right in which I have had trouble with in the past (though haven’t tried recently). Opened a new tab and went to Technoprimitive.org (here) and everything looks just fine.

Plugged the Belkin Wifi adapter into the USB and it came right up. Didn’t connect but still found it with no trouble which PCLOS refuses to do for some reason. Unplugged the ethernet and clicked on the network icon in the toolbar at the bottom right of the screen (after not being able to find any network stuff in the start menu) and it brought up a window with tabs that allowed me to select the wirless and it connected right off with a good 54 mbps connection. reconnected the ethernet and disconnected the wireless and it switched right back over. Good enough! 😎

Lots of my usual apps missing but that looks like only a install away. Gonna get another machine from the Yard Sale Trailer and install it to the hard drive and give it a try. Looks like they have gotten the things that used to bug me worked out with this upcoming release.
