Another homebrew truck.

Update: After being chastised for doing the one-word/line explaination(s) I’ll try to do better. 😉

As for this one what you see is what I had. Took a minute and went up the url till I came to actual text and then found the travel log and compaired the dates to the link name of the picture and found the section it came out of: http://www.kirkanddonna.com/rtw/Laos.htm#0330-040803 which also says just about nothing about the truck. The picture is down the page a bit, and heed this warning, it’s a long page with many pix.

So the truck in question is this –

Now looking at it closely I note the front wheels are cleated. Looks to me like the front end is a walkbehind tractor that is grafted to an old army truck/jeep cab and rearend. It seems to piviot where it attaches to the cab and looks to be used kind of like a steering tiller would be which would explain the large opening in the front wall. Also note the headlight on the front of what apears to be the fuel tank. Overall a very interesting design! Wish there was more detail or info but as Bugs says: That’s All Folks!

My brother found this tool the other day and is wondering what it is/was used for.

He says in the email:

It is solid steel. Chisel on the right end. Hammer head and single pick on the left. Overall it is about 9″ long. From pick to hammer head it is about 2 1/4″. The lettering on the handle says “DASCO 399”.

Any help/info would be apprecaited.
