Yahoo!, here we come!

Konfabulator has bought by Yahoo! And they released it for free! Cross platform, at least mac and ms.

Looks interesting. Just not sure yet. Will give it a fair shake-down and decide. So far nothing that came with it interests me enough to keep it turned on but that’s on a quick look-see and I am not that impressed with flash and glitter and it has a lot of that. Eye-candy is the term I was looking for there.

This is via Steve. Thanks for the pointer. I saw a link to this yesterday but failed to get through at the time.

This looks possible. Depends on how much electricity it uses. The Pelter devices I have played with were real juice hungry but they “were” older devices. I guess the first one I saw was in the late 80’s or early 90’s and they date way on back from there.

The article says they are using 5 of them so I’m sure they are getting a lot of cooling. The problem is going to be overcoming the initial thermal load of the hot air mass in the car as well as the hot mass of the car its self.

Will have to wait and see when more info is available.

Okay, I haven’t seen everything yet. But this is one more thing that I would have never even considered thinking of looking for.

The rug has a “compass module” embedded that controls the electro luminescent panel and makes it glow brighter the closer it is pointed toward Mecca.

Whatever.

DIY Projector – Overview

Interesting. The overhead projector part is no problem. Got one around somewhere. or two or three. Two now I think. I’ve been wondering about using an old lcd display from a laptop but suspect there is more than one reason it won’t work. Course with all the other projects around the farm doubt that I will ever get a round tuit…

Makes me wonder if just letting the coffee grounds soak over night and then straining them out wouldn’t do the same thing? I love the odor and taste of coffee but the old gut don’t like it one little bit.
