Birdie Nest Golf Ball Warmers

Let me start off by saying that this is a site/page that I have been working on for a customer.

Now that that is out of the way, take a look and let me know what you think. I will have more and better pictures when the next batch comes in.

Planning on adding a page on actual use with pix and graphs and such like too.

Back to the hunt…

Treehugger: New Hope Electric Bike Conversion Kit

Hoping that these and kits like them become more available here in the us. The link at Treehugger goes to the manufacturer in China which only sells wholesale in containers of 300 pieces. Interesting product thought. Someone in comments said they have been showing up on Ebay in single piece lots. Gonna have to check.

US aims Star Trek ray guns at nuclear sites – vnunet.com

I gotta wonder what type of material it will take to shield against this. Shouldn’t take much.

The first thing that came to mind was the French sound weapon from the mid 60’s. Would work fine till some dampening material was added to the subjects and then no effects.

Not sure what it would take to shield against 95Ghz.

From the site:
“ADT emits a 95GHz non-ionizing electromagnetic beam of energy that penetrates approximately 1/64 of an inch into human skin tissue, where nerve receptors are concentrated.”

Seems to me that the old tin foil hat trick should work fine. Or a body suit impregnated with graphite or metal power. Be interesting to see how long it takes to defeat this “Star Trek Weapon”.

This dude is GOOD! And did it all by hand. I could see doing it with a milling machine and such but he used a dremal tool by hand!

Interesting concept. The movie is strictly an ad but shows a side view of the pelter junction sandwiched in between the top and bottom aluminum thermal source and sink. Neat!

Probably not work safe. And certainly not for looking at when you are working and have to be quiet. It took me quite a while to quit ROFLMAO. Cat came down to the kitchen (where I was then and am now) to see what the choking, laughing, crying and snorting was about. This sh*t is funny as hell!

Beware, toilet grade humor ahead… 😉

Hanson Robotics : Project > Phillip K. Dick Resurrected

Totally AWSOME!

Wish I could go just to see this if nothing else.

From the site:

“IIS will create the artificial intelligence personality of the robot by mathematically deriving it from Dick’s life and works in a manner very similar to that described by Dick himself in his book We Can Build You (published in 1964). ARRI will supply mechanical and manufacturability engineering support. Their eloquent CAD models will provide a solid foundation.”

If you are into woodworking this is a must visit!

They try to be all suave but the title of “Untitled Document” at the top of all the pages just screws the attempt up. But Joel does some nice work. I just wish the website “designer” allowed more and better pix, design, and construction info of the pieces. The gallery page is well worth a visit for some examples of one off (I think. again just not enough info on this site!) pieces that the artist has done.

This is interesting. Not sure if it’s the future or not but it’s a step in the right direction toward no moving part control systems.
