Home from Valley Antiques. Got a total of 50 arrowheads dulled and 24 wrapped and ready for putting on necklaces. 26 left to do.

That many or a few more ready to heat and burn. Another 50+ left to grind the ends on and then burn. Long process but makes a unique bead.

Supper done. Butt still on high. 7 or 8 hours left to cook. Taking a break from making bamboo beads. 24 finished.

Got 8 loaves of fresh oat bran bread for $0.50 a loaf! Lots of other good deals at Aldies (or however you spell it) but that was the best.

Just got in from a long day. After working at Valley all day drove to Gadsden to Hobby Lobby and Aldys, then Food Land in Alexandria.

By , April 14, 2013 1:39 am

That means if I get 7 pieces done a day between now and then I can hit that goal. Which shouldn’t be much of a problem.

By , April 13, 2013 1:02 am

Would like to have at least another hundred necklaces and bracelets done by the Living Museum on the Square in Jacksonville on the 27th.

By , April 13, 2013 12:59 am

May try to make a run to Hobby Lobby tomorrow after work for more findings to gre a few more pieces made over the weekend.

Looks like our order from Black-Bear-Havasack will be here Tuesday. Got arrowheads, buffalo and coyote teeth and coyote face pelts coming.

Carving the stone takes a lot of force and I can only do so much in a day. Already overdone it today as it it… :-(

By , April 12, 2013 6:48 pm

Got enough raw material to make a fair number. Just got to let the hands rest for a while before working on any more of them.

By , April 12, 2013 6:46 pm

Just finished up the second of two pipestone (catlinite https://t.co/SFudcU32un ) pipes I’ve been working on today.

Stupid goat had her head hung again. Different fence and I didn’t have to get the hacksaw. Was able to force her head around and horns out.

Before the rain started for the second line of storms I took the truck to the field. Got out and heard bleating coming from the neighbours.
