Since it’s supposed to be raining tomorrow will wait till later to try pouring cement at the dam.

The transmission was giving trouble when it got parked so not sure it will drive even if started but would rather crank it and see.

So will try to get it started again when we get back or on Thursday depending on the weather. Turns over fine. Oil pressure comes up quick.

Suspect the fuel pump is locked/gummed up. About dark decided to quit for the day. Tomorrow is another trip to Calcis day.

Won’t start. Tried starting fluid and it starts and runs for just a few seconds then dies. Got and added a couple of gallons of fresh fuel.

Ended up going to WW and getting the tire plugs. Tire plugged, inflated, and hung on the spare holder. Battery put in Lincoln and charged.

By , December 4, 2012 11:19 pm

Jumper cables done. Battery still charging. Thinking about going to Tractor Supply to see if they have the rope style tire plug refills.

By , December 4, 2012 7:27 pm

Actually am just going to remove the clamps and use them on some 600 amp welding cable. Should carry a LOT more current than the original.

Found the 4 way lug wrench after an extended search, in one of the places I first looked. :-( Jumper cables also located now to repair them.

Just hoping the rain holds off long enough to get some of this stuff done.

Even if the rims won’t fit, need to move the car to be able to jack it up and get the tires off. If it won’t crank I’ll get the tractor out.

By , December 4, 2012 6:07 pm

Antifreeze, oil, and tranny fluid all look good. Battery (from Ranger) seems to be taking a charge after adding water.

By , December 4, 2012 6:06 pm

Charging a battery now to see if I can get it (Lincoln Town Car) cranked. Don’t remember when the last time it ran, but was over 6 years.

By , December 4, 2012 6:04 pm

Been sitting where it is now for way too many years. Not sure but looks like the rims will fit too. Bolt spacing is the same anyway.

By , December 4, 2012 6:02 pm

Ranger tires won’t fit the Toyota. But the ones on the Lincoln will. Have spent most of the morning clearing brush to move it.

By , December 4, 2012 6:01 pm

Will see if I can plug the hole in the tire tomorrow. Hoping so. If not will see if the tires from the Ranger will can be mounted.

Changed the tire. Inflated the flat spare. I carry a air pump in the truck so no biggie. Dropped Cat off at her Mom’s and came home.

By , December 4, 2012 2:38 am

Used duck tape to hold together till I can get her another one. ;-( Went to leave. Had a flat tire on the truck. Looks like a glass cut.

Replace light fixture in garage. Break said fixture when the last screw tightens down. Not sure if it was already cracked or what.

Install Delta faucet kit in Cat’s aunt’s kitchen faucet. Replace one cut off valve under sink. Reverse faucet washer in other valve.
