RT @welsh_gas_doc: It’s important to live your life in such a way that the Westboro Baptists would want to picket your funeral. That’s a life worth living.

Wondering how many the freezer will hold…

They found a loose spot and pried it up enough to crawl under the wire. Went back in the same way. In a very orderly fashion.

Walked down to see what it was. Neighbors goats again. He worked on the fence for a good while last weekend, but failed to keep them in.

Went out back to look for a breaker box to put into the camper for shore power input. Found it but heard something down past the barn.

Korean clock I did yesterday still running great. 5 or 6 more and I can get back to work on my own stuff.

By , December 13, 2012 10:50 pm

Had to make a click rivet for this one too. Then will have numerous bushings to replace. And all the pivots to polish.

By , December 13, 2012 10:49 pm

Have got 3 or 4 more wheels to go each with 6 or more on them. Tis quite a pain to cut the music wire all the same length freehand.

By , December 13, 2012 10:46 pm

Thinking I may have to make a trundle cutter to finish this one up. Been doing them by hand and have cut 8 for one wheel already.

Make that Gilbert. :-(

By , December 13, 2012 10:43 pm

Wm. Gibson clock is being a real pain. Having to do a LOT more work on it than I had planned or given an estimate for.

By , December 13, 2012 10:42 pm

Got another one on the test stand that needs to get recased too. But before any of that stuff, coffee!!!

By , December 13, 2012 2:16 pm

Clock is dead on the right time this morning. Need to cut a piece of leather for the strike hammer and put it back in the case today.

By , December 13, 2012 2:14 pm

Clock is back on the wall ticking away. Keep waiting for it to fall apart or something. Twas way too easy to get back together…

By , December 13, 2012 2:36 am

Got a Wm. Gilbert and a Seth Thomas to do this week too. Clock repair is picking up a bit but just wish it was steady rather than in spurts.

By , December 12, 2012 11:59 pm

Doesn’t seem to need any bushings which for those clocks is amazing. Repointed the teeth on the escape wheel, polish pivots, clean & lube.

By , December 12, 2012 11:57 pm

Pivots on 4 more wheels left to polish and then time to put it back together & see how it runs. It’s a 70’s era Korean clock but well made.

By , December 12, 2012 11:54 pm

Ended up working on a clock after lunch instead of getting back to the camper. :-( Got the clock mostly done I think.

By , December 12, 2012 11:52 pm

Decided to wait and spray the entire thing at one time. Only got 1 full can and part of another one of the foam. Hoping that will be enough.
