Am quite certain that I over did it today. But was the window that I had to get wood cut & split. Need to go to Valley Antiques tomorrow.

Burning a bit of the cedar now. Made a quick run to WW for food and beverages. Got a pork roast in the toaster oven cooking for supper.

Mix of oak and cedar. There’s a lot more cedar in this area that I’m gonna cut both for burning and to use in some cordwood walls.

Still about twice as much cut but not split up there. Guessing before stacking that we’ve got close to a cord on the trailer now.

Cat came up and started moving the cut and split stuff to the trailer. 3 hours of that was all either of us could take. Got a large load.

Changed the plug in the tractor before coming back for lunch. Running much better now! After lunch went back and continued cutting.

By , December 7, 2012 10:52 pm

Hoping another 3 to 4 hours and it’s all up here ready to be unloaded to start drying. Lunch is ready to time to eat and get back at it.

Still got to turn the main trunk and finish the cuts in it but shouldn’t take much more to get that done. Then the splitting starts.

Fueled and oiled the chain saw and went at it. Got most of the downed oak cut up. Forgot the cant hook so came back for it and lunch.

20’x8′ trailer and road twists and turns and is only about 9 feet wide at places. Got within a hundred feet of the downed tree.

By , December 7, 2012 6:16 pm

Trailer unloaded. Tractor fouled a plug but still enough power to get the trailer into the woods. After several tries managed to back it in.

Will give them 500 miles or so and see how they are then. Still teeth loosening at this point.

By , December 6, 2012 10:57 pm

Put 60+ miles on them at 55-65 mph and they are maybe a little better but not much. May end up having to get another set.

Took tires from Lincoln and got them switched to the Toyota. Then bounced down the road. All 4 are flat on one side. :-(

By , December 6, 2012 10:55 pm

If I don’t get a reasonable offer for it, I’ll pull it to pieces and part it out. May be what I do on the Ford Ranger too.

By , December 5, 2012 11:58 pm

The ones now on the Toyota put on the Lincoln rims, and will be ready to put them back on the Lincoln and put it up for sale. As-Is.

By , December 5, 2012 11:56 pm

And longer lug bolts. So put the tire back on, loaded them in back & tomorrow I’ll take them and have the Firestone tires put on the Toyota.

By , December 5, 2012 11:55 pm

Jacked the Toyota up and pulled one front tire. Tried the mag rims. No workee. :-( Brake caliper is in the way. Would take a spacer to fit.

Bill came by & I got him to steer as I pulled with the tractor. Got blocks. 2×4 scraps. jacked it up, pulled the tires & down on the blocks.

By , December 5, 2012 11:52 pm

Back to the compound and hopped on the tractor. Cleared a bit around and in front of the Lincoln. Tried to get it to start again. No joy.
