Georgia Institute of Technology :: News Room :: Hydrogen Fuel Cells Power Unmanned Aerial Vehicle
Above is the original article and site. Below is the physorg.com article
Flying on hydrogen
Now why couldn’t physorg.com add a link to their article linking to the original?
Rudy’s Blog at rudyrucker.com
Rudy says that Flurb #1 is now done. More info at his blog.
Congrats on a excelent piece of work! Hope to see many more issues. Only problem I have with you publishing it online is that I keep spending my time reading when there is so much more to do… 😉

Treehugger: Boeing’s Zero-Emission Plane Set To Take Off
And here’s Boeing with a copycat entry using hydrogen as a plane fuel. Guess they saw the article on the kids at the Georgia Institute of Technology with their 22 foot wingspan hydrogen fuel cell plane that has already flown and had to try to justify the expenditures to their investors…
Guitar instruction sites shut down by music industry | The Register
More on tightening control on any kind of information. Tis somewhat like the asshat that got the copyright to the song “Happy Birthday”. Now nobody can sing or play it without paying through the nose. Soon nobody will be able to type or speak without paying for each word uttered.
Personally I want to copyright the words “a, an, and, as, is, was, the, and idiot”. I figure with an income of 1 to 2 cents for each utterence or typing of the above I can have a rather large income in just a few days.
If that doesn’t make sense, well this crap the NMPA and MPA is doing ain’t exactly right either. They “say” they give a bit of each royalty payment to the song writers. I bet they do, just like the RIAA and MPAA give a bit of the royaltys to the artists and writers/actors. Sure they don’t. They use it to keep themselves in these do nothing jobs at redictulous salarys. And lets not forget the amount they pay the lawyers to issue the takedown notices… 🙁
Chef upset after he’s busted for foie gras
So who is the idiot that got upset and called this in? Does he/she/it get a gold star or what? Does anyone know just WHY Chicago (with so many other problems to deal with) outlawed serving Fole gras in the first place? And just who gives a damn?
More questions (but no answers) later. That is all…
Techdirt: What If You Had An Online Bulls**t Detector As A Browser Plugin?
Considering how LITTLE I beleve that comes from the government now, there is NO WAY I am going to use or accept the word of any software that they build that tries to tell me what is true and what it bull. I may be in the minority here but tis the way I feel about our liers in power.
Update – My bad. This is about the the Jap. Gov. and not the good ol US of Idiots. I still wouldn’t beleive anything that ANY governerment sponsered software tried to tell me about what is true or not.
Techdirt: New York Times Tells Brits They Can’t Read Article On UK Terror Case
Old tech meet new tech. The folks that are interested in reading this that live in the UK need to use a redirect service and then tell the NYT to kiss ass.
Boing Boing: Cory’s “I, Row-Boat” live on Flurb
Cory’s “I, Row-Boat” has just been published on Rudy Rucker’s Flurb! Good stuff!
CNN.com – Oops: Impostor scams Louisiana officials – Aug 28, 2006
The only “sick” thing in this article is that HUD and the US government is forcing folks out of homes that are livable because they are poor.

I had wondered. Now the secret is revealed. Pictures are good but video 2 shows how the trick works. Neat!
Geocaching scavenger hunt causes bomb scare
Oops! Cool that the cops signed the book and put it back though.
Researchers Make Chemical Warfare Protective Nanofibers out of Deck Sealer
Wish they (physorg writers) would put a little more time into FACTS and links and less time doing the dumb it down so the 8 year olds can read it…
I’d like more information on this but the only hint of where this info came from (no links as usual) is the second paragraph which states that: “Ramkumar’s findings are featured in the Sept. 5 edition of the Journal of Applied Polymer Science. ” so I guess I will see if that is online and go from there.
The Blog | Walter C. Uhler: Crackpot Christianity: Part Two | The Huffington Post
Whole lotta info here. Haven’t seen the POS Darwin’s Deadly Legacy and don’t want to after reading this piece. I’ve been convinced for several years that (figurehead) Bush and (handlers) crew have been and are trying to bring about a Christian controlled US of A so that they can go out and kill all of the infidels. And line their own pockets in the process. More fuel, bigger fire.
Go, read, get more pissed off…
Technorati Blog Info: TechnoPrimitive
Get the feeling I am doing something wrong. Technorati seems to think that my last post was either 41 or 44 days ago. I have signed up and done the ping thing, even put the ping url in the setup on wordpress but still no go. Maybe it takes a while to filter in. But with the number of posts I have made in the last 41/44 days I’d a thought that they would have showed up by now… 🙁
Linux.com | Minimalist tools for writers
Suggests vi, the app I love to hate. As for emacs, I have never had any luck with getting my unwiilling brain to wrap around the command structure and thus never used it more than a day or two at a time. Sorry RMS.
Fairly good article. Most writers aren’t gonna want to take the weeks that it takes to learn Vi though. Though gVim is usable it still has weird hangups or did the last time I tried it. My fallback is Kedit, which is part of the KDE desktop package. It just works… 😉
Les Stroud – TV
Never seen any of his stuff but from reading the site he has some major balls. Though I note in his forum that he is currently looking for an EMT for the upcoming season. 😉
Google Apps for Your Domain
Google continues on their path to world domination(or is it just MicroSloth domination) with the addition of new web apps.
Engineers forge greener path to iron production
Hate to tell them but to the best of my knowlege molten iron is not magnetic. Therefore unless I am missing something the lead photo is mislabeled. About par for the course for the ad mad folks at physorg…
The concept of using molten oxide electrolysis to produce iron is very interesting, especially as it doen’t produce carbon as a byproduct. Cudos to MIT for this groundbreaking work.
Boing Boing: Dept of Homeland Security using trademark to silence critics
Glad to see the Dept of Homeland Stupidity is doing their job and keeping us safe from green checkboxes… Idiots!
