Interesting article. And concepts presented therein.

Study: High mortality rats ate GM food

But according to OUR government the stuff is safe for everyone… Yea right 🙁

This is super scary as there is no way to tell if GM products are included in food in stores. More of our big biz prez’s f**king the common people.

Sounds like the governator is trying to outdo Alfred E. Bushie in highly visible stupidity. Either that or the Republican party as a whole is planing on taking the next few years off by forcing every one with half a brain to vote against them.

Treehugger: Giant Knotweed Extract: An Organic Fungicide

Interesting! And potentially necessary. I’ve noticed a whole lot more fungus and mold this year than in the past. All the bamboo I cut this spring is discolored from it and the wood that I am using that has been stored for a year is all black and mottled.

Minnesota becomes first US state to require biodiesel

Requiring it to be made from soybeans is a serious mistake. Shouldn’t be a requirement that it be made from a particular product, just that it is made from a renewable resource.

Makes a lot of sense. Simply injecting a mist of water into the intake will clean up the exhaust though it tends to make it hotter rather than cooler as best I recall. It also gives more power if done correctly.

This new device seems to take the cracking out of the combustion chamber and then feeding the O and H into the intake air.

Time will tell.

Treehugger: Low Tech Alternative To Glass-Door Fridge

Interesting. And certainly low tech.

I want a fridge that has drawers instead of shelves and a door. Also going to try the low cost conversion of a chest freezer to a fridge.

The link is not the point. The story is the point. Not sure I like the epoxy or acrylic finish needing to be renewed every year either…

Sea Ice May Be On Increase In The Antarctic: A Phenomenon Due To A Lot Of ‘Hot Air’?

Will be interesting if this does come about. And should cut the ocean level increase a bit. From the article:

“However, findings from our simulations suggest a counterintuitive phenomenon. Some of the melt in the Arctic may be offset by increases in sea ice volume in the Antarctic.”

Mark Twain, often attributed with the popularizing the quip “There are three kinds of lies: lies, damned lies, and statistics”, would have been impressed with the 1994 study, were he a Connecticut Yankee in the Beltway Court.

Interesting interpretation.

Not sure of the logic but then not quite sure which side is up today so that’s probably just me. Benadryl (sp) hangovers suck…
