Got the assorted stuff off the built in shelves behind the door and started taking them and the short side wall down. Got to the point that I now have to move the pinball machine and to move that I have to move a whole pile of stuff. So I am going to call it a night and start on it again tomorrow morning.
I am now thinking about extending the opening that the big door is in a bit and building a leantoo affair on the front side to house wood, an entry way/mud room and the wood burning heater. A 4 to 5 foot extension with 6 to 7 foot tall back/north wall with a metal roof sloping upward to meet the top of the door and funnel the heat back in. I am thinking of using refrigerator doors inside the top of the extension. that will give me a width to work with and keep the heat from escaping too. Guess I have about everything I need to build it except the cement.
I think I can house somewhere between 15 and 20 thousand books in the front if I build the shelves everywhere. The everywhere includes under the joists too. If I figured correctly I can house close to 2000 there. Guess we'll go and get a couple of bundles of wood tomorrow. And a trailer tag. Or today. And time for bed

Got started yesterday. Removed the greenhouse extension and moved the plants (that were left) under a oak kinda out of the way. Put a tarp over the hole in the greenhouse wall for a temporary seal against the elements. Bill, Neil and Cat did a lot of the work. I did what I could. Still got the remove the stove. That will come when I get the rotovator off the tractor and get the lift back on. Gotta have some thing more than me to move that stove again. I want to add an extension on the front in place of the door to house the stove. I suspect that I will build it out of rock, broken cement and assorted crap then roof it with tin. Just got to remove the trees first…
been out digging a trench for a row of blocks to sit in at the east side of the greenhouse. I am tired of water on things in there and am building it up so the water from the roof will run out and off instead of trying to back up into the lower floor of the greenhouse. One trip to the can in ankle deep water is enough…
got most of the blocks moved. taking a break. only a small amount of usable energy today and trying to use it in bits as I can…
Downloaded the <a href="http://www.filemaker.com/products/fm_home.html">demo</a> yesterday and am working my way through the tutorial now. So far it looks really good.
My dog Otis that is. No idea how old he was. Got him in a friend of my now ex wifes divorce. Then I got him in my divorce. Now he's gone but not forgotten. Gonna take some getting used to.

Over did it yesterday with all the heavy moving. Been in bed most of the day trying to get over it. Hope to be back at it a bit tomorrow. Just got to slow down it seems like.
Have been upright enough to cook two meals today. So I guess not a total waste. Read a bit too. Rereading the Sarah Kelling Mystery series. Or the ones I have of them. Still a few of the early ones I don't have.
Airport Extreme Driver install calling for a restart. Hope to be back soon…

Gotta have one!
Cleared a bit over 64 cubic feet of crap out of the front room's east wall today. That allowed us to move the 12 foot by 3 foot shelving unit to that side. Set it up on blocks atop boards atop blocks on the floor. The area under the first shelf is filled with plow points and parts.
After the shelves were in place I started moving boxes of books down from the attic above the kitchen. Cat was loading them on the shelves as fast as I could bring them down… Got half of them from the attic and the ones at the end of the bed moved down so far. Only a few more crates left to move down. Tomorrow I want to move more crap out of the front room. Figure we can get enough cleared in there to move the books from the Mercantile here and start sorting and listing them.
The listing is still bugging me. How best to do it. I have a program on here for a library but I want something that will allow me to enter the isbn and have the data imported from Amazon or where ever if its available. I also want to be able to scan the cover in, take orders and have autoupdated inventory control. In other words a online used book store. Haven't been able to find what I want yet though. Guess I will keep looking or break down and try to write something that will do what I need…
Been looking again. should know better by now. seem to be looking more at the new Nikon D70 which Ken Rockwell reviews here http://www.kenrockwell.com/nikon/d70.htm
I've read a couple of other reviews, the most inclusive being http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/nikond70/
Looks like what I have been looking for. Now to find one to handle and look through.
<b>I am not a complete idiot! Some of the parts are on backorder….</b><b>

This sounds like the next logical step in solidstate storage is now here. Of course adding a processor is going to add to the overhead in power usage but the added security certainly makes it the way to go. And also paves the way for onboard applications that will run totally within the memstick dataspace! Now thats COOL!

trying to get the pix that we (Cat and I) have taken since I have had the iBook backed up to cd. 1334 pix to the disk and that leaves a couple of meg empty but is close enough for me. seem to have taken somewhere over 3000 pix since we got the Nikon Coolpix 2500. Got to get a gallery up somewhere/how.
Took a walk earlier. Then another with Cat later. Took the cam the second walk out and around. Didn't use it much at all. Barely had energy to get me out and about both times and only did it with help of a cane. Need to take some meds and lie down for a bit.
