Stupid, primarily because of the futility of it. Ain’t no way to block it all. Can’t, and shouldn’t, methinks. If you have people misusing it AT SCHOOL, reasonable efforts should be made to stop them from doing so, but mainly you need to educate the kiddies so that they don’t endanger themselves with the information they might put up on the sites (and there are most certainly dangerous people out there), other than that, let ‘em go. They shouldn’t be using class time on it, but some will no matter what you do, and what they do at home is their own damn business. It certainly is none of mine-too much of what they get into at school is my business as it is. I could care less what they do on the Internet, or much of anywhere else, away from the equipment I am responsible for-I have enough of my own problems. Their parents can take care of theirs. (Or not-that’s life.) I’ll choose my own windmills to tilt at…
Don’t mean to sound cruel, but I’m not appointed by God (or anyone else) to go around censoring/advising all these folks-let them make their own mistakes their own way, they won’t learn any other way, just like us, and all these self-righteous SOBs that want to legislate everything….
