    How inappropriate! Everyone knows that Jesus drank WINE, not BEER!

    I suspect the old boy quaffed a few brews too. I seem to remember that beer was found in the Egyptian pyramids so the jews would have been around it and learned to make it while in slavery. Grain is cheaper and easier to grow than grapes and after brewing beer can still be cooked into bread.
