Techdirt: And Just Like That, Bogus Piracy Stats Become Fact

The big problem as I see it is that there is such poor feedback/discussion when it comes to print media. The “reporter” says it, the paper prints it, and if it sounds good/bad then folks seem to believe it.  And it gets picked up and repeated over and over.  With the web, someone posts stupid stuff, folks from all over jump their ass and the facts come out.  Feedback is critical but the print industry has had their own way for so long that they don’t want change.  And why would they with the amount of power they have/had…
