    A torch? But that would be CRAZY!
    Yeah, like lighting candles on a video chip on the motherboard and adding alcohol to it to get more heat isn’t…
    But it worked, and sometimes results are all that matters.
    Took some balls to do it, though….

    Not crazy, practical. ๐Ÿ˜‰ Use a piece of copper as the heat transfer device on top of the video chip and heat with a torch. Quicker and less likely to damage by being easier to control.

    Agree about results, sucker was broke and obsolete to begin with, how much worse can it get?

    Indeed. Results matter. And I do agree with you about the torch-would be easier to control, I would think. This procedure, however, is probably NOT an “Apple Approved Service Method”, though, to give them credit, they DID approve the “monitor slapping” method, eventually….
