Still among the living. Hand much better. Seasonal heat depression starting early with increased early heat. Still out doing things instead of hiding in ac.

Buffett on the speakers. Different os runing via liveCD at the present. Trying the SamOS which is a pclos flavor without gnome or kde but XFce4 and runs on slower equipment with lower ram requirements. So far other than a few learning pains I like. Actually closer to the mac than linux in some ways. Nice.

   Dear Lord no, not another OS! I just have downloaded PCLinuxOS 7 TR3 and gotten it running (live CD, that is) on one of my machines. And I’m downloading (again–first time failed) Ubuntu Ultimate 1.3 DVD. (At Aaron’s recommendation) When will this cornucopia of OSes finally cease?!?!?!?!? (That’s an easy one to answer, actually-when Micro$oft finally finds a way to kill everything but Windoze)

   Glad your hand is better. I guess a forge is pretty good for sterilizing things. Hope it continues to heal. I need to go soak my thumb myself, actually-cordless drilldriver slipped the day before yesterday and took a minor chunk out of it whilst making a bookcase for Kayla. And so it goes…
