Went out and about for a while today. Checked out Poor Man’s (had the name wrong) trade day today. There were 5 vendors. Guess it was too cold for most folks. Nothing we were interested in so headed back toward Anniston. Went down Bynum Leatherwood road and stopped at a newish place out there. Nothing we were interested in so went on down to 202 and looked in at the place there, but twas no one at home. On into Anniston and paid insurance on the truck. Sucker is costing me more in insurance than I spend on gas and with these fuel prices tis saying something. Gonna shop around and see if I can’t find a better price. Went from there to Oxford and checked out the books for sale at the library but didn’t see anything there either. Back into Anniston via Noble and made a stop at the Salvation Army store and found several books that were worth the visit/trip. Haven’t gone through them yet to see how many we did get but there were several new first editions as well as a bunch of older hardbacks and some paperbacks that we couldn’t pass up. After buying way too many headed up Noble to the old Gadsden highway and to 431 and the grocery store in Alexandria. Got a few things and came home. Ate lunch and I hit the sack for the afternoon. Was totally done in. Got up when Steve came over for a few, then fixed supper and read a bit, then came down to write this. Gonna hit the sack in a few. Seems like I have 3 to 5 hours a day that I feel up to doing anything and then it’s all down the drain. Hope this spell lifts soon. Till tomorrow…
