First coat of paint on them now. Total cost is approaching $3. One 50 cent dowel and 2 – 99 cent cans of black spray paint.

Will have to see how they stand up in the wind. May have to add a weight to or on the end of the dowel.

Got 3 necklace display stands made. look like a fat necked/handled cutting board with a 7″ to 8″ dowel about 3 inches from the back/bottom.

Grinding a matching taper on the end of the dowels and they have a good friction fit with just a slight twist. Come back apart the same way.

Building everything to break down and flat pack, which is the reason for regrinding the spade bit to drill a tapered hole.

Paint drying now. Guess it’s time to figure out how the necklace displays are going to look and work.

Last 2 done. Found some more blades and put one on. Saws/resaws in a straight line now. Made the last 2 shorter and a bit longer.

Got 3 with paint drying now. Think I have enough dowel to do 2 more. Gonna go make them and then work on a necklace display stand.

Doesn’t rip/resaw right. Think the blade has hit something on one side. Got to get a new blade and see if it works better for that.

Put the old one on it and reset ALL the stops and adjustment points. Hour and a half later cut the first circle. Worked great.

Got it and all the pieces out to the work tent and started to put a new blade on it. 2 new ones were too long.

Decided the quickest and easiest way to cut the base circles was to use the band saw. Which has been sitting in pieces for 2 years or so.

Started to make some bracelet display stands this morning. Found a 1/2″ dowel and reground an old 1/2″ spade bit to cut a tapered hole.
