Boing Boing: AOL: Screw you, we’re taxing email anyway

Update: Erik Olson sez,

My answer to AOL’s two-tier email will be simple. Once they start doing this, this will be placed in my sendmail access file:

aol.com 550 AOL doesn’t pay me to accept their email

I’d encourage others to do the same. Should enough do so, AOL subscribers might get annoyed that large portions of the Internet refuse to even accept their email.

I like this idea!

Boing Boing: Save this radio telescope for citizen science!

A good idea. But from what we are seeing the idiots in power DON”T WANT the “people” to have any scientific knowlege that they don’t control.

L.A. South Central Farm Receives 3-Day Eviction Notice

Of course BIG biz/gov wants to close this coop farm as there actually people doing something for themselves instead of buying it ALL, so the city decides to close it down to build a Walmart warehouse. Bet Walmart will demand (and get) tax breaks and other benefits to locate there too.

Personally I haven’t been in a Walmart in over a year now and have NO plans to ever enter one of their caves again.

You can’t find products that are “made in america” in them anymore. Everything they sell is made in China so WHY should WE as AMERICANS be SO in love with them and support them by shopping there? By doing so we are putting our friends and neighbors out of work by spending our money with this soulless corperate giant, instead of in locally owned and operated businesses.

United Press International – NewsTrack – Teacher suspended over MySpace.com warning

Idiot school officals need to get their collective heads out of their asses and start trying to actually teach the kids right from wrong instead of using the legal system. Sounds like this teacher was doing just that AND getting the kids to think so of course they had to GO!

“Are those your priorities? Are you comfortable with a government that has these values?”

I have to answer NO to both.
