6 new necklaces created. And way to late for me to be up. Will get pix tomorrow. Night all…![]()
For now gonna take a few to unwind and look at some of our goodies.![]()
Got painting to get done and jewelry to make for the Living Museum on the Square in Jacksonville a week from today.![]()
Fixed and ate supper and took a sitdown at the computer. Still got to unpack the stuff we got. Looks to be a busy next few days.![]()
Left out from there after 7 and made another stop at Food Land in Alexandria for supper fixings. Then on home.![]()
Next stop was at Hobby Lobby in Gadsden, where we got beads, leather, and ran into a friend with whom we talked for a bit.![]()
Clothes still smell like burning sage. Wandered around till a bit after 5 and headed home. Made a stop at a Wally world for needed things.![]()
Decided to go forth to the powwow in Guntersville, which we also did. Met many new folks, and got much good stuff for more jewelry.![]()
120 miles later we’re back home. With goodies. Went to get paint in Glencoe, which we did. Along with tint for many gallons more.

More booth pictures from Janney Furnace http://t.co/RMkUibHZ![]()
I think they are going to end up with the old post office poster and notice board too. Need to do some repairs to it first though.![]()
Got the display case delivered to the Janney Furnace museum. With the other 2 cases I took out there it helps fill the new display room.![]()
Wish I had some in exterior green. May have to break down and buy some.![]()
Will not be buying any more. Got an old can of Sherwin Williams interior and painted the inside of the Vardo and it covers SO much better!![]()
Got the bottom side of one of the knockdown display tables painted. 2 coats and it’s still streaky. The Krylon green we got sucketh greatly.
![]()
Display case is de lighted and new doors made. Now to shower, drape the frame, unmount the camper shell, load the case, and deliver it.![]()

Just finished another arrowhead necklace piece. This one is about an inch long and 5/8 of an inch wide. http://t.co/PLDNO3UW
![]()
Next bit we are signed up to do is the Living Museum on the Square in Jacksonville, April 28, so I’m trying to get everything ready by then.![]()
Started painting the breakdown display tables. Bits and pieces getting done slowly. Trying to get the all the show ducks in a row.![]()
Finished digging the drainage ditch around the 10×20 just in time for the rain. Got a pile of wire wound up on a stick of bamboo.![]()
The body of the arrowhead is about 1 1/8″ tall and 3/4″ wide. Haven’t decided on what type of cord or thong to put it on yet.![]()
Back view. http://t.co/AC6dMv74![]()
New copper arrowhead front view. http://t.co/AdWgE5rQ![]()
Got one more copper arrowhead made. Used the alcohol torch to anneal the copper prior to hammering the pattern into it. Worked quite well.![]()
And I’m not sure I’ll be up to it today/this week. Will see.![]()
Trying to get up the energy to rearrange this room to consolidate the working surfaces. Tis gonna get to be a REAL mess prior to being done.![]()
Got most of the ditch done at the back & uphill side of the 10×20’s permanent location. Still more to do but should keep the floor dry now.![]()
Janney Furnace Booth Pictures http://t.co/v4OWmEoX![]()
Many thanks to the unnamed for the donated hardware! Stuff has really made getting the weights and hangers/adjusters fabricated easy.![]()
Which will also work with the 8 legs on the 10×20 Shelter Logic canopy when we need to use it in places that stakes can’t be used.![]()
With cables, clamps, hooks, & turnbuckles they’ll add 105+ lbs to the First-up 10×10 canopy. As we have 2 of the 10×10’s will do 8 weights.![]()
Set lags in a couple of cement block to test them for canopy weights. Dry 4x8x16 solid blocks weight 26 lbs as measured on postal scales.
![]()
New display setup is GREAT! Now to get the camper (Vardo) finished so we can cut out the travel and just stay at the site when doing a show.![]()
Just made it back from the Civil War Reenactment. Got it all broken down and loaded in pretty much record time of just over an hour!![]()
Back from the Reenactment. Didn’t have the best day but made enough that it was worth setting up. Hoping tomorrow is as good or better.
![]()
Figure I’ll spend the summer cutting and peeling logs for the framework. Should be an interesting project.![]()
Was chicken house roofing and quite rusty so will have to clean and paint it. Looks to be sound enough to last many years if kept painted.![]()
Got the metal roofing the other day. Moved part of it while ago. Ran out of steam after 10 sheets. Suckers are 3′ x 23′ and are heavy!![]()
Looking at adding another 2140 sq ft of roof to the compound. Part of it will be 2 floors which will add about 3180 sq ft of floor space.
![]()
Gonna try to make a run to Pell City to the Treasure Chest tomorrow to take some more stuff to the booth and see how we did last month.![]()
There’s still some walking room in the storage trailer but not much. Will take weeks if not months to get the stuff sorted out.![]()
Piedmont move is DONE!!! Made the last load (which required removing the camper shell) about 3:30 today. Which was the 3rd load today.
![]()
Which may end up taking more loads than I had figured. Still thinking another 4 or 5 loads should get it all moved.![]()
Packing is mostly done. Gridwall and pegboard is off the walls except for the work area. Most of what is left is larger stuff.![]()
Only got 2 loads moved today. Still got several more to go but am too worn out to do more today. Still hoping to get done tomorrow.![]()
Hoping to finish it up tomorrow. Still packing stuff in totes but are a lot closer to being done than I had thought yesterday.![]()
Heading to Piedmont again today to get as much as we can. Got till the the end of the week to finish getting it all out from up there.![]()
Unloaded that one and then made a trip to Piedmont and brought another big truckload back and got it unloaded.![]()
Spent the day yesterday on the road and moving stuff. Made one trip to Calcis taking stuff down and bringing a BIG truckload back.
![]()
Got very little done yesterday. Trying to get the Vardo’s inside walls in today. Got the first one cut after making a top arc pattern.![]()
How Many Camels Can You Fit Inside The Eye of a Needle? | Amusing Planet http://t.co/rb9BMSMT – Finally the answer to that question!
![]()
Best idea to hold it all down at the same time I could come up with. Will find out if it’s enough to hold it all in place when I get there.![]()
Put 16 strap brackets on the sides (8 on each) to use with webbing as a clamp across the entire 8’x9′ top when I put the spray foam on.![]()
Strap brackets installed on both sides of vardo top. 2 more strips of foam cut for top insulation. 4 wood strips and 7 foam strips to go.![]()
I’m guessing it’s tub/shower surround material.![]()
Hoping it will be enough to do the ceiling, front and back walls. Tis lightweight, very flexible, and appears to be waterproof.![]()
Then headed on back home. Paneling was for the camper. Odd size stuff. 4′ wide x 6.5′ long. Got 6 sheets for $40.![]()
From there went up to Cave Spring where the place we wanted to look was closed. 🙁 So went on over to Centre and picked up some paneling.![]()
Was a long day yesterday. Went to Cedartown Ga and picked up some vitamins at a discount store for $1 a bottle.![]()
Woke to sun this morning so looks like my working outside late last night getting stuff put up so as to not be damaged by the rain worked.
![]()
Hoping I get the roof ready to put the spray foam on tomorrow. Doubt it will happen but hoping anyway. Suspect it will be an early night.![]()
That gets it high enough I can work on the roof top without having to move the camper out from under it.![]()
Strips cut and some put on the side wall. Bit more foam put on the inside front wall. And raised the 10×10 another 8 inch blocks worth.![]()
Have had a off/down time day. Tried to do stuff all day but just didn’t have the energy. Got one more stringer on the roof & more foam done.

Got the foam cut, glued in place, and braced for drying/curing. Going to caulk the rest of the back while that happens.![]()
That’s if my hands and arms hold out. Ripping the trim with the skill saw along with caulking and painting has got them hurting. 🙁![]()
Starting on the foam insulation on the other (drivers) side. Hoping to get the canvas and trim on that side today.![]()
Second coat of paint on the canvas side. Still soaking it up. Should be waterproof when I get done with it.![]()

VW RV FTW: The Amusing, Amazing Beetle MiniHome! | WebUrbanist http://t.co/E3U18yUP What I’m thinking about doing to the Toyota truck.
![]()
Now for some water and back to cutting, drilling, and screwing the upright side pieces in place.![]()
Had to cut some of that along the fence down to get roofing metal and assorted bits out from where the previous camper had been.![]()
Tis up and should shield the area (and me) from prying eyes till the underbrush grows back along the road.![]()
Made a trip to the bamboo patch and got some more to finish up the temp screen I’ve been putting up around the trailer construction area.![]()
Just in taking a short break from the heat and sun.![]()
45″ X 9′ and took half a gallon of paint to saturate it. Fixing to cut and install the outside uprights on that side.![]()
2 coats of paint on the front wall. Insulation installed & outside canvas hung on one side wall with one seal coat of paint on it.![]()

The 10’L measurement will be form the dash back so will only have 8′ usable length. Should be an interesting build.![]()
Leaving the firewall and dash (or some of it anyway) & drive train. Going for standing room in part of the area. Sleep 2. 10’Lx6.5’Wx6.5’H.![]()
All the body that will be left is hood and fenders. Cuting the cab off at the windshield and build everything from there back![]()
Done a bit of measuring and figuring and I’ve about got the mods I want to make to the old Toyota flatbed figured out.![]()
Got it in a much better location to start taking it apart. Gonna use parts of it to finish the Vardo and other bits to make a Toyota camper.![]()
After mowing, removed the bush hog and put the draw bar on. Took the tractor down to the camper I’m starting demolition on and moved it.![]()
Cleared around them so I’ll get back in there later and drag them out. They range from 10 to 14 feet long and looks to be 30 + of them.![]()
Did more mowing in the junk yard and got a lot of stuff exposed to drag out and haul off. Found a bunch of shelving uprights I had lost.![]()
I cut the area cleaned up and then we got to taking the building down. Got it most of the way down and will need power tools to finish.![]()
Did some other clearing and cleaning up too. A friend was over and cleaned up a bunch of crap left over from the air soft days.![]()
Cut an area 6 to 8 feet deep and over a hundred feet long. Will get the scrape blade back on soon and see what roots I can get out.![]()
Took the rotovator off the tractor & attached the bush hog. cyrtt some grass in the garden, then attacked the out of control privet hedge.![]()
Got the clocks at Valley wound and reset for DST. Only a couple of days late. Took a bunch of screws out of some lumber I’m recycling again.
![]()
Will form beds between 3 & 4 feet wide with a walk way along each side. Or that’s the plan. Will use mulch on top to keep grass/weeds down.![]()
Will get some trees cut and use the trunks to form terraces around the curve of the slope starting with the blue berry bush.![]()
Mounted the rotovator and topped the lubricant off, then took the tractor to the field and turned about 2/3’s of it.![]()
Moved the pile of partially burned brush, dirt, and tree trunks on down the hill. Made a locking pin for the PTO drive on the rotovator.
