Been a long hard trip but the end is in sight. Forgot I’ve got to install carpet & pegboard. Still, looks like the weekend will see it done.

Bit more wiring (power and phone) to finish and a few more shelves to put in and tis time to start moving stuff in.

Truckload of sheetrock is now unloaded. I is officially tired. Store building is getting much closer.

Which is the main reason I am working on it this weekend. Tis time to quit procrastinating and get to it. So till later folks…

Of course since we get to start moving stuff in in 2 weeks it needs to be much closer to done than it is.

Got to do wiring, cut & install trim, apply sheetrock mud and sand the bits that have dried. Should be loads of fun. Getting closer though.

Got the new paper dial glued to the dial pan and drying now. Will get pictures of the hinge and new dial when dry.

Pin had been soldered in place prior to the last repair. They removed all traces of it and screwed a small hinge to the door & wooden case.

Got the hinge pin drilled & rivited to the dial pan this morning before leaving. Came in & put the hinge bits on & screwed it all together.

Back from Valley and Calcis. Trying to unwind from a way too long day and trip.

Still fighting this crap. Working at Valley this morning then go pick Cat up in Calcis this afternoon. Hoping I make it through the day.

Hinge and solder on pin for the top glass door are going to be interesting as I’ve never seen the correct ones. Just gonna wing it.

Just spent the last hour and a half making a brass hook latch for the pendulum door on the Sessions 12″ Office clock I’m working on.

Got out a loaf of 2 day old french bread to eat with lunch. Moldy all over. 🙁

One of those days. Was doing kinda ok earlier. Started going down hill about 11. Just closed & latched the gate to keep the world away.

For tonight though I’m gonna hit the sack and start on it again tomorrow. Till later, folks…

As it happens I have a new one it in stock so no biggie. Just got to check all the bits to make sure nothing got bent or messed up.

Finishing up the repair on a clock & a main spring broke. 🙁 Not a new one but still a bummer. Now I get to tear it down & do it all again.

Reinstalled the fly in the clock. Added a dab of nano oil and tried it out. Looks to be fine. Will work on the case next.

Locking them in place. Used a dab of Jewelry & Metal glue and sealed the holes to make sure they couldn’t come back out.

Cut new ones from a piece of .032 music wire, ground the ends round & smooth & put them in place. Made a closing punch & punched the holes.

This is the one I put an entire strike side in. Took the fly back out & drilled the end and removed the trundles from the lantern pinion.

Made a run to WallyWorld and picked up a few things. Once home and stuff unloaded, got to work on a New Haven clock.

Long day. Made the Calcis trip, dropped off one fixed clock, picked up Cat and came home.

Almost got the couch cleared off enough to laydown and read. Another half hour should do it. 🙁

Had to take a day off from the world. Went to the new store, got one piece cut out of the wall & that was it today. Came home to rest.

Cut the rest of the back and the worst of the front. At least the ditches and walkways are clear(ish). Will get the rest this weekend.

By now rain has arrived. Start cutting anyway. Get the back area mostly cut & line runs out. Stop, eat a cup of yogurt & then reload line.

Reassemble and try it and it runs better than it has this year. Guess it just wanted attention.

Get it going, runs rough for 3 min, then quits and won’t restart. Check plug and fire and have both. Take carb apart and find nothing wrong.

Been one of those mornings. Got up early to use weedeater prior to rain. No fuel or line. Make trip & get both. Fuel up 19 cents overnight.

Came home & replaced the crutch in a New Haven Gingerbread Clock. Made the new one from brass rod. Running. Now to see about timekeeping.

With only 4 hours tomorrow I’m hoping to not be quite as tired at the end of the day as I was today.

Long day today and another one coming up tomorrow. Tis the busy season at Valley Antiques with the moving sales going on!
