Jake’s Kerosene Lamp & Lantern Workshop
Interesting site about collecting, making and repairing kerosene lamps and lanterns. He also has several other interesting sites.  One is where he is rebuilding an old schoolbus into a really fine camper. Another is on building bicycles. Well worth the browsing time if you are into this kind of stuff. Already linked to his water cooled computer pages. This dude is a serious junk lover and hardware hacker!
Gulf Shores Alabama Vacation & Dining Info
When they say “Everything” that’s what they mean. Of course I haven’t found a best and worst toilet section but everything else seems to be here. Good info. Can’t say much for the overbusy layout. Food review are good with some rather funny bad review thrown in.
If you are going or thinking of going to Gulf Shores bookmark this site.
Main Page – Grayton Beach » Florida State Parks
Been wanting to get away from it all and take a trip. Was here several years ago (20 or so it seems now that I think back on it) and enjoyed it quite a bit. Nothing much to do but lots of sun and sand. Camping price has gone up quite a bit. But everything else has too. Got to get the tent cleaned up and get the other stuff ready. I wanna head out sometime this coming month if we can.
James Patrick Kelly
Another Sci-Fi writers website. More good stuff! Worth the look and bookmark.
Les Stroud – TV
Never seen any of his stuff but from reading the site he has some major balls. Though I note in his forum that he is currently looking for an EMT for the upcoming season. 😉

Calculate The Estimated Fuel Cost Of Your Trip
Cool tool. May be able to help decide on what kind of car to get too. 😉

Over in another part of the tech blogosphere they’re having a discussion about blogs that make big money. I still think Scripting News has the record there, by a wide margin.
Last year we did $2.3 million in revenue. Expenses? One salary (mine) and about $1000 per month in server costs. A few thousand for contract programming. Pre-tax profit? Millions.

Capitol Hill Blue: The Oldest Political News Site on the Internet
They may be the oldest but without a usable RSS feed they have gone off my radar. Their site quit working in my feedreader a while back but just now got around to looking to see where the rss.xml feed went and it doesn’t appear to be available any more. There is a link that will let me subscribe to the daily email list but that’s not the way I get my news any more. So I guess I won’t be reading Capitol Hill Blue any more unless another site links to it. 🙁
