I figure one more evening and it should be managable again.

Have spent most of tonight clearing more and moving older stuff to archives. Down to just over 700 unread and 1900+ in the inbox.

Had passed 5k unread messages in my gmail account. Decided last night to trim it down. Managed to remove about 2.5k before crashing.

Elliot is the name on the face. Movement is Korean & that one has one broken spring. Case is much older than the movement. Missing 1 finial.

1 Atkins round top drop about 1863. 1 English Enfield age unknown. 1 Sessions Inlay # 1 about 1925. 1 Seth Thomas unknown. 1 Elliot unknown.

Have ended (so far) the week with 5 more clocks in the house than were here at the start of the week. All in a state of disrepair.

Haven’t got one yet but am gonna buy one if I can find one locally. Looks interesting.

Should last much longer than the original. Now to find something to eat and go from there.

Worked fine. New part is an improved version with an aluminum inner fitting around the motor and transmission shafts.

Tore it down to find a broken coupler. $40 later & a trip to Pell City, I put the new one in, reassembled the machine and fired it up.

And am back home. With Cat. Arrived in Calcis to find the washing machine quit turning last night. Listened & told them it was the coupler.

The second half will take a bit more work but another 2 hours should finish it off. 2 more shorter sections and then will start on trim.

Got the electrical wiring out of the wall. Then took the first half down in 3 sections. Still got lots to do but progress is being made.

Working on the new Valley Antiques store in Alexandria today. Got 1 new door cut in & 2 others removed. Headed back to start removing walls.

Made the trip back to Calcis this afternoon to drop Cat off for a few more days. Hope her mother gets better soon. Driving has worn me out.

Then hopefully will have a couple of days without work or driving to rest up…

Another day done. Will be going to Calcis again tomorrow to pick Cat up and do whatever else needs doing down that way.

Next up is remodelling the new building in Alexandria. Got walls to tear out and display cases to build. Should be a few interesting weeks.

Took base and desk to Old South Antiques in Jacksonville, installed base on cabinet and left desk. So that’s done.

May not get installed today. 🙁

Lid – flat black. Contents of can – gloss gray. Only black I had is gloss. So base is now gloss black. No idea how long it’ll take to dry.

After spraying a bit noticed it looked weird, light, & glossy. Looked at the nozzle and it looked gray. Checked the can which said black.

Walmart strikes again! 🙁 Got the base painted except for a few light spots with 1 can of flat black. Opened the 2nd can to finish it off.

@MUSEmunkey The grocery stores here in the US do the same with coconuts! Guess it gives them a place to put the bar codes…

Sides & corner blocks cut to length. So humid I can only stay out for about 15 minutes at a time. Keep having to come mop the sweat off.

Had to come in to cool off and get the paint.

Desk leg support screwed, glued and drying. Long base pieces cut and front piece planned somewhat round on the ends. Getting closer…

Then take it to Old South in Jacksonville and put it on the cabinet. Also got the desk leg support cut to size. Now to screw and glue it.

Got the screw/glue blocks cut for the cabinet base I’m making. Now to trim the ends of the base pieces, put it together, and paint it.

@mwp1979 I’ve barbequed it before and as long as you keep it well coated with sauce it tenderizes after about 1.5 to 2 hours. Quite tasty!

@Iron_Spike You might want to look at English Bulldogs. Similar looks but much better personality and quite laid back.

Long afternoon with few sales at Valley. Stopped at the store after work & got a pack of chicken thighs to cook tomorrow. Leftovers tonight.

@mwp1979 Or roast goat, or barbequed goat. And yes I have thought of it the last several times I’ve chased them back into their field.

@mwp1979 Twas a car in the drive outside blowing the horn to get my attention rather than risking getting out and knocking on the door. 🙂

Took brass welding rod & made tails for 4 brass mice paper spikes. At least that’s what they are now. Now to head to Valley Antiques & work.

Come back in, get more coffee, finish fixing breakfast, & get back to webserver setup. Is mostly done but still got to get php xml working.

Get long walking stick & after 10+ minutes running it up and down the fence get stupid critter back through hole in fence neighbor wont fix.

Go out and am told my goat is out. Neighbor has goats but not me. Tell them this and come back in to get dressed to go chase said goat.

Long morning/day & just getting ready to go to work. Working on getting a webserver set up on my test machine when a horn sounds outside.
