Science is science, and faith is faith. If science bothers your world-view vis-a-vis your faith, then YOU have a problem with your faith. It’s not science’s problem.

Unfortunately, science DOES have a problem. (I started to type “nowdays” after problem, but then I remembered Galileo, Da Vinci, and a host of others who had much the same difficulty….no one claims the Earth is the center of the Solar system anymore, do they? Well, ALMOST no one…) On some of my more cynical days I wish we could require these folks who INSIST on everyone adopting their world views or else (be they Christian, Muslim, Jewish, Hindu, or Cthulhu followers) must adhere COMPLETELY to their beliefs; i.e., if you think evolution is BS, then all medical care you receive must be completely devoid of any technique/knowldge/basis of evolution, for example. Which would pretty much leave them chewing elm bark and praying for healing for EVERYTHING. As their only treatment, I mean.

And I just noticed I am logged in as Stratus. This is Steve. I’ll explain another time why I am logged in as Stratus. Long story……and I don’t really want to retype all this.

    Fixed the login.

Agree, mostly across the board with what you say here. I figure if your faith (in what/whoever) won’t stand the harsh glare of reality then you just might need to take another look.
