Move along, there’s nothing NEW to see here. The Romans had this problem, and it wasn’t new then. (Not to say that this is something that needs to be allowed/stand without being fought. Three cheers for the EFF! Hip Hip – What’s that you say officer, this is a “No cheering zone?”) Those in power want more power (if they didn’t want power, all the power they could get, they wouldn’t be there in the first place-who goes to Washington WANTING to go to Washington-Those wanting more power!) and once they have whatever power they can get, they do whatever they can to keep/increase it. Look at the Ceasars (pretty much all of them-if they didn’t dig for more power, someone else wanting more bumped them off and took over), the Tsars, the Soviets, the Bushes–oops, did I say that?
