Back and done
Other than moving the stuff from my old home directory to this one that is. This thing is a LOT faster than the other one. Has a faster bus speed for one thing. Now to run another ethernet cable to the other room so I can get to the files on the old machine. So close… 😉

Get in touch with me sometime, and give me a little bit of guidance as to JUST HOW I should partition the HD when I do PCLinuxOS. I never seem to get it right…..I think.
The problem I made for myself is that I used the wrong utility (I think) to partition/format the secondary hard drive, and now PCLinux won’t boot from the hard drive-I confused it, I think. I’m going to look at SimplyMepis on at least another machine (one with a little more oomph, but a lot louder fans that I’m not at all sure I want in the bedroom-don’t need a vacumn cleaner running all the time..) and maybe on that one-I don’t have anything on it that I don’t have elsewhere-wiping is cheap…
