Friday before the game
Pistol match tomorrow. Not sure what all they are gonna get into.
Spent part of this afternoon putting pegboard and shelving into mongo’s hooch.
Another part patching wind damage in town and digging out the last bit before the drain for the lake. Have water in it for the first time in months. Now see where the low spots are so know where to drag the first loads from the dam proper.
Will try to write more tomorrow. Going to be an early night as I have an early morning tomorrow.
Friday it was. Got some stuff done, but not as much as I wanted. Did get Cableone out to KSE finally (four guys in all, before they were done!) and got the annoying rolling horizontal bars gone, at last. Just a TOUCH of it left on channels 2-6, which is MUCH better than before. In many places had half-a-dozen alternating dark/light bars rolling vertically to the point that watching anything was out of the question. Bad splitter, evidently. May have a little problem with the filter/trap that lets us broadcast on the network, but no worse than it is, I think we’ll just live with it. We’ll see.
Keep bitching at them till they get it fixed. Y’all pay for a good signal and they should provide it or reduce the bill. I’ve had to call them back 4 or more times till they got tired of coming out and actually fixed the problem. Make them work for that minimum wage! 😈
Yeah, am sitting here at the workbuilding and just looked at it, and it is much worse out here than it was in the Yellow Pod Friday. Going to have to do a survey, and then get Louis Roberts up here and see what he can do. He can cure ANYTHING cable-related, which too many people know so it’s hard to get him up here. But since we had 4 guys working on it Friday, and it’s still like it is, I think I’m going to do a room-by-room survey and then run the data by Louis. It could be our several-hundred-dollar filter/trap that enables us to broadcast on channel 3, in which case we’ll have to pony up for a new one, I guess. How does a filter/trap go bad? I guess if I had a better idea who it worked, I could probably answer that one.
