Listless Tuesday

Another day of getting little done. I’m feeling better and did get out and about here on the property today but didn’t do much but sit in the sun and read for most of the day.

Did manage to get the erector set steel moved over here and ready to build a tower for the woodburners flue to be supported in and by. Am gonna build it similar to the one by the creek with a ladder rungs on one side to facilitate getting to the top and cleaning it out.

Also got some split wood from the camp to burn in the heater here till I can get some cut and split as we are about out again. Hope to get on that tomorrow, with the rai coming again on Thursday and Friday.

Cat helped me load some bricks from the pile at the creek and I unloaded most of them and laid them at the entry door to the wood room to get us out of the water when it rains. Will get another load and finish up asap.

Not that late but I am about done in so will close for the night. More tomorrow.

I thought I was going to have more zip today, but my get-up-and-go got-up-and-went much sooner than I wanted. I think I may have a low-level case of whatever the hell it is going around. Better than I felt last week, but still not like I want. Time will tell, I guess.

I think I’m about to turn in too, everyone around here had a “Monday on Tuesday”, I think. Not as bad as the guy that TRIED to rob the Regions Bank in Lenlock–he went in with a longarm, then discovered that the tellers were behind bulletproof glass and not inclined to give out any money to him. So, after a moment of confusion, he took a bank bag from a businessman in the lobby and left. Considering how this guy’s day was going, I think it is to be expected that the bank bag he took was empty. Hasn’t been picked up yet, as far as I know, but it seems like a matter of (short) time, given his luck and incredible planning and preparation.
