Another night with lots of thunder, lightening, and rain. Radar shows it to be about over for us. 5 more minutes and I’ll turn on the ac.

20 minutes left on the battery. Hoping the lightening lets up prior to going all the way down. Though it seems to be closer than earlier.

Been pouring since about 2 minutes after we got in the door. Lightening is almost continuous. Am on the laptop on battery and wireless.

Both from the flash and the extra heavy rain. Got here and most of the rain had not gotten here yet so got in without getting too wet.

I stopped and waited a minute. More fireworks as the wire sagged and then held. I floored it and we made it, then drove home almost blind.

Quite an exciting drive home this evening. Lightening hit just in front of us in front of the Weaver Elementary School taking out a wire.

Another Friday on the road: With rain added in. Made the trip to Calcis. Stopped on the way back and bought some …

Supper done as is the ham salad for sandwiches for the next few days. Am fixing to head back to the cooler part of the compound and read.

From there headed on back home. Took a bit of time to decompress from the trip and am now cooking supper. Which I need to get back to…

Most of the stuff they have is a bit over priced but we almost always find good deals here and there so keep going back.

But was some choice stuff so… Left out and made a quick stop at the Treasure Chest. Found several items including a china cabinet top.

Got to Uncle Fred’s Thrift Shop when the bottom fell out. Got a couple of totes full of goodies, and spent more than I had planned to.

Checked the radar and ate lunch, then headed south. Made it to Calcis, unloaded and put stuff up, then headed back north.

Been a day. Did maintenance on the truck, then went to WW to get last minute stuff for Cat’s mom. Rain came down hard and we came back home.

Afterwards, went back out to Valley Antiques, where we bought more stuff and looked into renting a booth to put some of our better pieces.

Been a Sunday. Went and did the flea market thing where we got a good pile of stuff. Then came home and ate lunch and cooled off for a bit.

Thursday done: Finally. Or I certainly hope it’s over. Been one of those good/bad days. Got up and did needful …

Will see about getting the right part tomorrow and installing it.

Put it in and after powering the unit back on tis doing a wonderful job of cooling the place off once again.

found the problem in the form of a bad capacitor on the condenser motor. Dug around in the barn and found one that would work.

And cool air is now blowing again. A power failure a couple of hours ago killed the air conditioner. Tore into it and after killing wasps
