Wall that I thought was gonna require removing shelving to get out is out and shelves are still where they were.

Ah, well. Insulation/blueboard isn’t gonna hang it’s self, so guess I need to get back at it. Till later, folks…

Slowly, slowly eats the elephant. Or that’s what I keep telling myself. Seems to me that it (said elephant) just keeps getting bigger.

Will try to head that way asap. Started on the rearrangement of the furniture, rebuild of the walls so things are chaotic to say the least.

Twas quite white around here, and still is. Put off going to Calcis today as the road conditions are not the best.

Been mostly unplugged here at the compound for the past few days. Hope everyone had a Happy/Merry!

Yep sure is. Guess the Rainbow City bit was hung in there from the ATT DSL link in Piedmont.

Lets see if my location is right now.

Got some of the wood split after getting back in. Nowhere near all of it but enough to get through the evening and a couple of more days.

May take tomorrow off and see if I can get more done toward getting things tightened up. Will see how things look in the morning.

So scaffolding is still not finished and holes in north wall are still open to north wind. A not good thing in this weather.

Phone still works after drying out. Now have to get more minutes. Did a couple of trips out today which killed the rest of the daylight.

And of course the coldest daytime temps we have had. Face is about thawed out so gonna get back at it. Till later folks…

Had figured that sales would be a bit better this month but they’re much worse. Not only at Piedmont but at the other venues as well. 🙁

Guess it’s just life in the fast lane in this non-recession/depression we are in. For now am gonna quit whining and go cook supper.

Long mostly nothing going day. Spent $30, took in $0.75. About average for the business lately. Does not look promising for the long term.

Moved it a few feet, and then finished unloading the stuff from it that I had started doing last Sunday. Cat got the chain saw and fluids.

Tried to crank it and it fired right up. Removed the charger, closed the hood and came to the house to get the trailer. Hooked to it.

No fuel in fuel filter. Turned the fuel back off and took the filter apart and cleaned it out. Reassembled it and had fuel flow.

Not near enough wood to carry though the cold weather. Hoping to take the afternoon off from the store and spend it cutting and splitting.

Am done in so till tomorrow…

gotten over 58 degrees, now in a couple of hours it’s reading 63 and the room is much warmer. Just hoping the power bill doesn’t skyrocket.

And though this isn’t exactly concrete seems like it would be the same principal. Where in the 3 days we have had the heater it had not

Supper is now history. Another load of logs put into the woodburner. Am about ready to call it a night. Think it has been a successful day.

Shelves done and canned goods out of boxes and back to where they can be seen and accessed. Supper heating. Dave tired.

Got the upright cut and affixed. Bottom shelf put in and screwed down. Shelf supports cut and ready to drill. Sitting down for a minute.

But only enough to get us a couple of evenings. Gonna have to take a day off from the store to get a trailer load cut and split.

Hoping to get it up tomorrow afternoon/evening to help with geting us through the next few days of cold snap. Got some wood cut today.

Had not planned on the purchase but got the 3/4″ for less than the 1/2″ had been running. Will use it in the bathroom and kitchen.

Got 16 sheets of blueboard from Lowe’s today which they had on sale for about $4 off a sheet. Seem to be closing it out.

Then will get the canned goods out of the boxes and crates and back up where we can get to them for use.

Gotten some of the shelving removed and a wall reconstructed in the kitchen. Now need to build new shelves across the new wall section.

Wood burner functional again with more new flue pipe. Need one more piece to have it all replaced. Should have gotten it today but…
