Makes a lot of sense. Simply injecting a mist of water into the intake will clean up the exhaust though it tends to make it hotter rather than cooler as best I recall. It also gives more power if done correctly.

This new device seems to take the cracking out of the combustion chamber and then feeding the O and H into the intake air.

Time will tell.

now it’s trackback spam…

By , September 19, 2005 10:39 am

Awoke this am to another pile of spam in the blog. This time it’s trackback links. Same set of links which end up back at a poker site. Guess this asshat is getting a few pence for each and every link “it” gets clicked through or some such. I know I am tired of dealing with it. Got the trackbacks going to moderation if anything fits so will just have to keep adding keywords till they give up I guess. Or cut off trackbacks and pingbacks which I hate to do.

Update — looks like it’s blocking the correct comments so maybe when they see nothing for their trouble they’ll quit with this stupidity…

Update2 — starting to blackhole most of them by their trackback url’s. Still coming so they ain’t too bright. I just can’t see what these idiots are getting out of this that could possibly be worth it…

comment spam

By , September 16, 2005 12:39 pm

another batch of it. Locked it down so you have to be registered and logged in to post. Sorry about that but for the sins of the few the many must suffer…

Guess I need to look around and see if there is a plugin to block an ip address as these seem to be coming from either 3 or 4 addresses. I think it is a googlebomber or a group of several that are doing this. The comments make no sense otherwise, just random noise. The only one I really resent is the batch from S C O. Those blood sucking bastards need to be eliminated.

Update –

the ip address is changing on every posting. Guess this is some kind of round robin system using compromised computers so that the ip address blocking won’t work. The slow rate they are coming in is almost like there are real people out there doing it but I guess it could be a botnet that is passing the info along.

Comment Spammers hit

By , September 16, 2005 9:01 am

Asshats hit this am. Just deleted the crop, I think. If I got anyones real comment, please resubmit. I turned moderation on for now, so if you’re a new poster (or an existing poster but forget your password/username) comments will not show up till I approve them.

Having just bought a house, I’ve been busy constructing a Linux-based media server. The experience has left me both amazed and frustrated by the state of desktop Linux software.

Any article that starts like that has gotta be good… 😉
