Symantec false alert floors Macs | The Register
After spending a couple of hours yesterday fighting to install stuff on a pc and being screwed up by Symantec’s Norton Systemworks this report makes it rather clear to ME (at least) that I want nothing to do with either the company or ANY of their products. They used to make good tools but like so many corporate buyouts and takeover the focus has moved from the make a good product and they will come mentality, to make more money out of poorly written and buggy software and screw the customer then holler that it’s not our fault. Sorry folks I ain’t buying it any more.
