Getting PCLinuxOS running on my machine at work. Just about got it running the way I want it, with the exception of more stuff to install.

Made it home with only one minor problem with the hitch. Which I found before leaving Piedmont. Wired it shut so got here fine.

Just back from buying a trailer to build a camper on/out of. Now to get it home.

Another dead day in Piedmont. Still sunburned and much tireder than before taking a couple of days off so guess it being slow today is good.

Spoke too soon. Thunder back towards Gadsden so more heading this way in a bit.

Lightening seems to have died down. Just raining now. On laptop as it’s quicker to unplug. 🙂

Looks like the storms are about here, so guess I need to shut this machine down for the duration of the lightening part. Till later…

No idea why they removed it in the first place. Seems to have been removed sometime in version 4 and still gone in 5.

A must have Firefox add-on https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/firefox/addon/bookmark-current-tab-set/ to bookmark the current tab set.

Whole back is nice and red from sunburn. 🙁 Twas only out a few minutes at a time but guess it was way too much.

Still moving in spite of the heat, just having to take longer cooling off breaks. Doubt that it will get done today. Waiting is…

One handful of weeds/blackberry canes removed. One shovelful of dirt moved. One brick pulled and stacked. Bit by bit, getting it done.

Still more is done now than was when I got up this morning. Another 5 or 6 work periods and may be able to start planting the tomatoes.

About 15 minutes at a time working with a 30 minute cooling off/resting period between seem to be all I can do out there today. HOT/MUGGY!

That’ll make the one twice as deep and get the other area cleared off so I can move ahead with clearing off the area north of the trailer.

Got the rest of the bed cleared off. Decided to tear down the other bed and move the soil from it to the one just cleared.

Was hoping to get it done and them planted this morning but looks like if it gets done today, will be late afternoon/early evening.

Been outside trying to get the bed ready to put the long overdue tomatoes replanted into. Tis somewhere over sweltering out there. 🙁

This is just SO weird!!! Cat gets caught barking by a human and resumes meowing http://t.co/bbAFa8z via @youtube

For now breakfast and then heading south. Where I AM gonna look at buying some 2″ foam sheets for building the camper… 😉

Hoping to get some done toward a work area for starting on the camper again too, but not looking good time wise, at least not this weekend.

Gonna try to get some shelving built and do stuff at Valley Antiques tomorrow. Then got a couple of clocks I gotta finish.

Yesterday wasn’t the worst we have had but is in the top 10 worst sale days ever. 🙁 Taking the next couple of days off. Calcis run today.

Another one just after noon so won’t be a single digit day. This keyboards got to go. Space bar sticks even after taking apart and lubing.

Today may be a new low in customers. Have had one this am with 6 minutes to go. 🙁 He bought a 99 cent can of beans…

Told one of the owners about it and he said next time to send her back to him so he could be rude to her. 🙂

Guess I should have sold the soda for less than we had in it, on her say so. Or at least not been so rude as to mess up her rant.

I’m still not sure what I did wrong. I mean if the other store has better prices, then they should shop there and not with us.

They left with her hollering back in the door that my attitude was’t the way to keep customers and that they would never shop with us again.

I told her that if they were cheaper that the logical thing to do was to not shop with us. Pissed her off! Told them to have a nice day.

So I suggested that that store was where she needed to shop. At which point she accused me of being rude and stated that she wasn’t.

I replied that I didn’t think so, but she insisted, and after asking where, was told another grocery store in town.

Had a (I’ll be polite and call her a customer) (naw I won’t) arsehat tell me that she could get sodas for half the price we were charging.

Tis a dead, DEAD day in Piedmont. Had about 3 paying customers so far. Guess I could have stayed in bed and been almost as productive.

Already trimmed the beard back to summer length. Not going for crewcut length on the hair but tis gonna be close. Just too hot.

Had to work in the warehouse some today and ended up with a headache from the heat. Gonna have to cut my hair off soon.

Am much better now that there is cool air flowing out of the vents.

Couple of hours, a few parts that were fortunately on hand, a bit of work and the AC is working again with no out of pocket expense. 🙂

AC started acting up late last night. Cut it off and planned on working on it tonight when I got home. Now looks like the rain’s moving in.

Moved truck to the field so limbs/trees don’t impale it. Wind and lightening abound at the present. Looks to be a fun evening. 🙁

Was wrong. Have folks in getting stuff despite the rain.

So doubt that I do much but sit in front of teh computer for the evening. After switching the AC on that is. 😉

But will wait another 30 minutes just in case we have last minute shoppers. Need to do several things when I get home but am beat.

Ready for this day to come to an end. Raining at the present so could most likely close the doors now as most of the time rain=No customers.

Monday in Piedmont. Nothing going on, and too hot to do anything anyway. Figure after having a fair day Saturday will be dead today.

Have spent about 5 hours getting updates and stuff installed so it will all work right. Now need to spend several days learning Sketchup.

Currently running Windblows Vista Home Premium so I can use Sketchup and a couple of other programs that don’t do Linux. And hating it.

Correction: The frames were for 10 x 20 structures.

Now to go and price tarps to cover it with.

Will most likely have to do some other support mods but hoping this will be enough to get me a nice size area to work out of the elements.

I’m taking 2 of the 12×20 frames and shortening the side spans which adds a rafter/leg section and then lengthening each rafters a bit.

Put some of the frame(s) for the carport/shelter together in modified form and can get a 16 x 20 foot area covered without cutting/welding.

Well started in the sense of putting up an area to work on it in out of the sun/rain.

Got the trailer/camper bug again. This time have enough materials and funds put back to build one right. Gonna try to get started tomorrow.

Another day in the big city. 3rd customer of the day in here now. May break $20 by noon but not betting on it. 🙁

Along with being an interesting purple color. Am ready for the day to be done…

fell into the clothes rack and almost punctured my butt with a heavy steel hanger. Been on my feet all day and toe is swelling nicely.

Then was going to the shower, tripped over a rug, broke a toe falling into a shelf, bounced off,

Been one of those days. Started the morning off by getting distracted after putting it on the stove and burning my coffee. 🙁
