Hmmmm….about the size of Pluto, covered in hydrocarbons ~1metre thick…..let’s tell the oil companies, and the next thing you know, they will be towing this puppy into LEO and scraping the sludge off, refining it, and selling it to us as gasoline for $40.00 a gallon as “Space Gas”, guaranteed to give your SUV “cometary” acceleration…….almost as fast as if it were dropped down a well. Me, I would rather we put our money into thermal repolymerization (try to spell THAT this early in the morning!) plants powered by pebble bed nuclear reactors (no, I’m not making this up) to turn any kind of organic waste into the hydrocarbon fuel/pure crude of your choice. Doesn’t significantly impact the carbon/carbon cycle, at least not on the scale of digging up and burning ancient plankton swarms/fern forests/peat bogs (not dinosaurs, contrary to popular myth). Until antimatter comes along as a viable fuel, looks like one of the better choices we have…..I can see the bumper stickers now–“This SUV powered by Turkey Guts!”
