FilosofoCommentsPreview – WordPress Plugin Repository – Trac

Nice! Should be part of the core instead of a plugin.
Got the comment preview plugin found and installed yesterday (thursday) but it wasn’t working. Thought I had already upgraded this site but turned out I hadn’t and it was still running wp 1.5. The plugin required 1.5.1.1+ so downloaded it this morning and after completely hosing the site for an hour or so wiped it all and installed a new copy of 1.5.2 and then put the modifications back in.
So the comments preview plugin is now installed and at least showing up. Plan to comment on this post to see…

It seems more and more that the only thing that is “Necessary” is to oust the entire thieving bunch and start over. Every day I read more and more about Alfred E. Prez sucking up to his rich buddies and saying Fark the poor and less fortunate but this list is unbeleaveable. In any past administration the entire country would be howling for his head on a platter. But the press is so cowed that nothing is getting done. Just don’t understand it…

Seattle Post-Intelligencer: AP – A&E: Study: Used books are $2 billion industry
—
Glad to hear/read it. there are a lot of comments made by folks in the new biz here but they left us, the used book sellers, out.
We sell mostly out of print books and as such I don’t see where we hurt the publishers or the authors AT ALL. Where else is someone supposed to find out of print books?
http://www.bluespringsbazaar.com, our business is internet only. Not sure that we will stay that way but for now tis the only outlet we have. At present time we have somewhere over 17000 books with about 2700 online. Still got a LOT of shelves to build just to house current stock.
But in all of those we only have 200 to 300 used books that are on the shelves here that you would find on the shelves in a new book store. The rest are out of print. And the ones that are still in print don’t sell as well as the ones that aren’t.
So I just don’t see how the publishing houses can say that we are hurting them as badly as they are saying. Seems like a lot of FUD to me. But that’s just my personal opinion…

I don’t know where they got the facts and figures that they twisted on this poll but I doubt that there is much if any truth in the “study”.

Sounds like the governator is trying to outdo Alfred E. Bushie in highly visible stupidity. Either that or the Republican party as a whole is planing on taking the next few years off by forcing every one with half a brain to vote against them.
Techdirt:Someone May Want To Explain To Record Execs How Little Power They Really Have
If Warner pulls out of iTunes, then people will simply get their songs for free on file sharing networks or just not listen to Warner songs at all. In either situation, Warner loses… big time

And all the artists signed with Warner lose big time and will then have a reason to sue Warner and hopefully be able to break their contracts and go indie…

Interesting! And potentially necessary. I’ve noticed a whole lot more fungus and mold this year than in the past. All the bamboo I cut this spring is discolored from it and the wood that I am using that has been stored for a year is all black and mottled.
