More stuff cleaned up out front. Axe head put on handle. Head has been hanging in the barn waiting for a new handle for 20 + years.

Had to come in for a break. Still weak from the bug/flu we have had and not able to do much at a time. Slowly, slowly eats the elephant…

Found a pile of marble I had forgotten about having. :-( Got most of it out of the vines and briers and stacked against the building.

Second blow with the swingblade broke (finished breaking) the handle out. Found the bush axe and am using it instead.

By , January 2, 2013 9:54 pm

Started the clearing. Moved the tractor around with the forklift/hauler on it to load the junk, briers and brush on.

Don’t remember how long they are. Think they were 23′ with 6′ cut off but not sure. Length will also determine the orientation of the slope.

Got to go look at the metal roofing and see how many of the shorter sheets I have to determine how wide and long the front shed will be.

Decided that the first step is to clear the area in front of the Q-hut and build an extension to do the building/work under.

By , January 2, 2013 8:31 pm

Going to try to get inside walls and insulation in the Q-hut prior to moving any more equipment in there. Should be an fun/exciting project.

By , January 2, 2013 7:26 pm

Now have to clear things out of the front of the Q-hut to get started. Tis gonna be another one of the sequential vortexes I suspect…

By , January 2, 2013 7:24 pm

Need to move the stuff out of the barn so I can start the tear down. Measured the Bridgeport milling machine & it’ll fit in the Q-hut. :-)
