GRYNX » TicTac flashlight

Interesting concept but I think his math on the lifespan of the batteries could be off just a bit. Unless this is not designed to be actually used that is.

Okay, the general concept is not bad. The prices they are asking for a bit of folded cardboard are unprintable.

Treehugger: The Sandwich Bike – Two for One

Weirder still. Interesting concept. Website is one of those artistic euro things. Download is a bunch of pix that could have been put on the site to MUCH better effect.

Interesting design on bike but not site…

Just got a router back online after a close hit destroyed our wifi hub, and the ethernet card in my desktop computer. This is the second wifi router that has taken a hit here. At present I have taken an old PII 350 mhz with a 128 mb sim and added 2 old ethernet cards and installed Freesco on it. Took me several hours to get all the bugs worked out but tis now working properly (I think). At least I can browse and do email and such. Ping is (now) working and can reach the Freesco box via the browser to make changes. Almost time to take it all down and put the machine in a corner under the desk so I can kick it from time to time just to make sure it is still there. 😉

Got my iBook hooked up to the 5 port hub on the incoming side and using the wifi card in it to share the connection to Cat’s iBook. Guess the next thing to do is to get a wifi card for the Freesco box and see if I can get it working that way…

Note: You are reading this message either because you can not see our css files, or because you do not have a standards-compliant browser. Read our design notes for details.

Whole site looks weird. Good teaser but no real info in the article. Above note is toward end of page. Since I am using the latest version of Safari for OS X 10.3.X I kinda wonder what they are talking about. But I am not running on the bleeding edge so the site MUST only work for those that are. IDIOTS!

New Scientist Breaking News – Bubonic plague strikes Los Angeles woman

It is the first human case of plague in the county since 1984. But about 10 to 15 people per year contract the disease in the US, usually in rural places, according to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

And the above makes sense how? Me thinks someone failed to check after doing a cut and paste…
