Interesting, but very not safe for work, artwork. Some fantasy, some macabre, some old masters, all interesting.

My mother sent me this link. Wonderful artwork! Interesting combinations of human/critters and landscapes.
Boing Boing: Great bookmod: encyclopedia into scrapbook
The link on the Boing-Boing page goes nowhere as the “artist” has taken the site down as she seems more worried about someone using a picture of “her” work to promote or link back to “her” site than about sharing her ideas.
I have run into this blinders-on attitude quite a few times with “artists” trying to “protect” their “property”. Thought then and think now that if they are that concerned about “their” work they don’t need to have a website in the first place. The web is a place for sharing. Get over it!
This is the pix that she has her knickers in a wad over:
Good concept, though I would have used string or rope or leather instead of wire to tie it all together.
Just finished (cross fingers) Frank Andrus site. Still need pictures of the originals but other than that tis done. For now. Any and all feedback is appreciated. And if you see something that you would like have at it. 😉
Boing Boing: Homebrew mechanical steampunk lion from Brussels
Go and watch the movie! This is wonderful. I want one/to build something like this.
Been working on a OSCommerce website for the last few days when not in the middle of the Airsoft War. Starting to see the light and hope to be through with the basic setup tomorrow.
For those interested, it’s an artists site to sell his work. URL is http://southernlifestyleart.com/shop/index.php. The site belongs to Frank Andrus.
If you have a chance take a look and give me some feedback. Still poking and prodding the code and uploading better copies of the artwork. Getting closer, just hope my hands will hold up.
Been working between the iBook and the pclosBox with the graphics. Doing the basic prep work in Graphic Converter on the iBook then transfering it to Gimp on the other machine and adding the watermark and reducing the jpgs from 100% to 85%. Doing it that way on the linux box to keep from having to strip mac data from the files before uploading them to the site.
Will try to get back to posting regular later in the week. Gots to get back to the pixel mines…
Never knew he was a sculpter too. Seeing his drawings, paintings, and sculpture makes me realize just how different his world view really was. He seems to have lived (in his head at least) totally within the different universe that he shared in the books… 😉
Wonderful stuff! Well worth the visit. He even did a nude! Below the fold…
I have no idea why, it just shows up and so I post… 😉
Volkswagen Beetle art car on Flickr – Photo Sharing!
Dave Winer’s new header graphic at Scripting News is a howl! It’s a picture he took at the “How Berkeley Can You Be parade” today. Wonderful stuff! Note the tag on the left – GLASQLT, Glass Quilt maybe? Would fit the car. 😉 Lots of other pictures of interesting stuff there too. Thanks for sharing Dave!
Boing Boing: Wonderful hippopotamus service
This is awsome!
Dude commisioned a 144 piece set. All costs ended setting him back $400K. One hell of an art collection!
Artshow online.   Amy Crehore has 8 new pieces that she is showing and she is only one of many. Good stuff!
