Moving the blog back to the Technoprimitive.org site.
Have moved the posts from livejournal and only lost the live links. Started cleaning them up but got a long way to go. Running on WordPress v 1.5 now. Now to try to get everything else back in place…

This sucker is awsome! Interesting articulation on the limbs too. Movies are too short!

Interesting. Wish there was more info. Still got a couple of old sansui tube output transformers that I had planned to build a amp out of one time. Need to dig them up and have another go at it. Like I need more projects…
after almost a week without doing much with my hands or arms i think i will be able to work a bit in the next couple of days. took 3 days after last monday to get to where I could do anything. really overdid it. don't know if it was moving the steel or driving the tractor or a combo or a combo of that and the weather changing but whatever did it I would rather it not happen again any time soon.
have been working shelving books the last two days. that is shelving them in the 14 wide. moved a few in the 12 wide too but most of the work has been in the 14 wide. just been taking it slow and easy and taking lots of breaks. got all of them out of the boxes anyway. 2, 3 and 4 deep on the shelves but tis better than being in the boxes. Now only got another couple of thousand in boxes in the qhut to go… but got to build more shelves before i can do that.
storms tonight have been interesting, to sat the least. don't know if it was a tornado but something came close at the time that it was supposed to be passing through. Missed us though so…
some more coming later but think they are easing a bit. glad of it too.
about got another site built. http://www.lawkennels.com/store/ is the link to the new part. got a bit more to finish up but tis close to finished (i hope).
got the workbench almost cleaned off. Fixed a laptop, pioneer home amp, and belt sander the other day. felt good to fix some stuff again. got piles to go…
tomorrow am supposed to take cat to calcis to install her mom's new computer (again). saturday I didn't feel like making the trip after getting 10 miles down the road and cat finding she had forgotten the keys I came home and crashed a while. today cat got up feeling rough and we didn't go. so tomorrow is a maybe. or today as it is now after midnight.
want to go by the alabama thrift store or american as the name changed. hoping they got more books in. like we need to buy more.
time to call it a night.
gone over the limit on using my hands the last few days. gonna have to take a day or so off from heavy doing.
friday i spent the day on the tractor clearing brush. bill and cat burned as much as would.
saturday went to mountaintop with a friend and took pix of his store up there which had burned down. took nearly 200 pix of the stuff he used to have in there. was a total loss.
sunday morn i got up and took the ford ranger to the hill top for a short walk and commune with nature. came back down about 9:40 and the fire had come back to life and was blazing away so came in, got a couple of protein bars and went to watch and feed the fire. after getting it compacted a bit got on the tractor and started clearing more undergrowth. ended up making a day of it. worked on the tractor till dark then fed and compacted the fire till it was out enough to cover with dirt at about 10 pm.
monday morn got up and out about 8. got the lawnmower and trailer and loaded the chainsaw, oil and fuel mix and went to where I was clearing yesterday. took the time to sharpen the chain. cut a old deadfall that I still haven't identified. reddish colored wood. burns ok. also cleared some of the lower limbs from the cedar. got to get bertha over there to get further up the trunk to trim the rest of the low hanging stuff. from there loaded the trailer and came back here to unload. then to the pile and recut some of the longer oak. got a load and called it a day chainsaw wise.
took a short break then went to the 14 wide and sorted shelving pieces and loaded the trailer with everything but the erector set stuff. took the rest of my energy. should have waited. dodged rain off and on while loading the shelving. bill came by, got the cans and got more fuel. cleaned up around the back of the barn a bit and burned more brush and crap. got almost enough cleaned up to start forming up for the pad. figure sometime this week we will try to support the shed roof with a cedar beam and take the end wall out. then level the area and form up for a pad.
bit by bit… i do think we are getting closer though. just need about 5 more of me.
or whatever it is that I am doing when I sit and type into this thing. Been busy and somewhat unable to spare the brainpower to try to focus on what I am doing or have done.
Feeling better. No real episodes this last week. Had a few times that I had to slow down but no show stopping moments so either it is a neurological problem or the crisis is past and the unpatient lived anyway. Changed diet a bit and eliminated a lot of the remaining caffeine by a switch to decalf tea that cat bought by accident. Tried it and wasn't too bad so have drunk it for a couple of weeks and seem to have more energy without as I have noticed before when quitting. Waking earlier too.
Was up at just after 6 this morning. And 2 and 4 but thats another problem.
Been clearing briers and scrub trees from old pasture land. Trying to get it cleared and cleaned up to facilitate moving the cars, trucks, van, transportable shelter dollies, and other assorted salvage and starting the teardown and disposal of some of the same. Some of the cars I am gonna keep but only the ones that either can be repaired and put back on the road and sold or the ones to experiment with.
Want to clean the van out and start the stripping out in preparation to hybrid electric.
Jag is tempting to modify to front wheel drive with a complete rewire and rebuild inside too.
Volvos are up in the air. May sell or convert to fwd or fix as is and drive. Or do one with one and one with the other.
Honda is fix and drive. Fun car and only needs minor head work I think. May run fine as is after a time not running. I think it was carbon on the valve stems but too lazy to tear it down again. Should finish fixing it up and drive or sell.
Toyota Starlet is another up in the air. May fix and drive. May fix and sell. May just put up for sale. Limited number made and over all this is a decent car. I think $500.00 would fix it right. Needs lifters and probably cam. Which means upper engine gasket set. Rear shocks. Tires all around. Brake work wouldn't be a bad idea either. Good transmission and rear end. Steering is tight. Fun little car to drive. And got good gas milage. Needs a fuel pump too. Intank. Repaired it once but car has sat for years again so…
Any souvenirs you want off your old Corolla Steve? Gonna strip and scrap all the rest of the Toyotas.
