Monday bits: Did another Calcis run today. Started with paying bills and doing the WW thing to get last minute st… As we have in fact returned am tweeting again. Went on a buying spree and got quite a bit of interesting stuff. Hope we sell some of it.

With the rain promises to be a long day mostly on the road. 🙁Sunday: Made the trip to Calcis and on down to Harpersville and beyond. Did some buying at the fleamarket down th… stuff, some screws, and about a thousand comic books. The last was sold about an hour later and didn’t make it back with us.Got a pair of andirons, a chair, 2 sets of coke glasses, a couple of tea pots, 2 planes, a couple of corning ware pans, bunch of woodworkingPrior to going to Calcis we went on down to the Shelby County Flea Market about 5 miles below Harpersville where we got quite a few things.Got to make another run to Calcis tomorrow as in the hurry to leave this morning we forgot to load the cold stuff up to take. 🙁Still got to cook supper, and trying to figure out what to fix that’s quick, easy, and not something I’ve already done this week.Back from the south and north. And most glad to be home where shoes and clothes are optional. Been a long, productive, and lucrative day.

Tomorrow is gonna be on the road to Calcis and back.Twas a day. Got a few things done. Got a fair amount of stuff moved in preparation to move the display counters to the front room.

Or just wait till evening as there is plenty to keep us busy without it.Tried painting one yesterday but the brush was not good and though the sign turned out better than I expected twas worse than I would use.Found box of brushes so maybe the next coat on the table will be a bit smoother. Will also try my hand at painting signs for the store.TGIF once again: Just wish the week had been better. Got a few more things done today, with more needed done tomo… Once again doing the late supper thing. Bits in the microwave now which just dinged at me, so back in a few.lamp table. One more coat of paint and a good sanding, then the antique gold trim and should be ready for the clear lacquerer finish coat.Made it though another day. Need to go and start supper. Back in a bit…actually use them to work on a bit. Have about 2 truck loads of stuff that needs to come back here. Will get it out and moved back asap.Also got some shelves put up in the work area. Still got more to put up but tis a start and has let me clear the work benches off enough toAlong with some spray lacquerer for a finish/seal coat. Got the lights in the warehouse hooked back up so is much easer to work there now.Looks like the antique white paint is close enough to work. The gold was too bright so went to WW after work and got the antique gold.Got the rattan ring nailed and glued down and the first coat of paint on the lamp table.about what to do with the other shelving and stuff. Got a lot of other stuff that will have to be done too but getting there slowly.rearranging the entire place. Display cases will come to the front room between the doors to use as a desk/counter area. Still thinkingTwas another day in Piedmont. Grocery had a fair day but we did very little. Got the front door open finally. Now looking at completely

They didn’t need near the # of jurors that got notices and were being lenient about excuses to not serve.Gonna check the incoming flow one more time and then try to get another hours sleep, so till the morn (I hope) folks…I need to take some time here to finish up some of the many projects which include underpinning the trailer so this can’t happen any more.Been soaking it up and bailing the sump hole for nearly an hour now. Got it slowed to a trickle and now the rain is picking up again.Came down to pee and found water in the floor. First time in several years, and had to be tonight so I can get even less sleep.Sunday: We got out for a bit and did some looking at things at a couple of antique shops. Got a few things at one… And I have got to get up early in the morning to get Cat to Piedmont in time to get back to Anniston before 8:30 to report for Jury duty.Was well worth the trip and time. Rain has just started coming down pretty good. Looks like it will be a long night of it.Looking at the invoice noted that we got a ceramic art box piece and a book along with 9 pieces of glass. Nice haul and good stuff!Just looked at the invoice and the name is Timeless Treasures Antique Mall. Some of the stuff was too high but some was quite reasonable.with nothing. Second place was just around the corner at the Antique Mall where we got several pieces of glass at really good prices.Went to a couple of antique places on 78 in Oxford this afternoon. First place was Apple Barrel Antiques and after a couple of hours left
Tired of messing with temp shelter for this crap. For now am thinking about cleaning up a bit and heading out for a bit. Till later…but if what I did doesn’t work am gonna tear it all down, move the piles, and build a new shed to keep the stuff in.Did a bit of preventive rework on the temp shed out back to hopefully reduce the water buildup on the roof. Might should have done moreGot the truck unloaded. Outside part of the woodburner’s flue removed and the through the wall bit capped off prior to removal.Twas a Saturday: Got out early and got Cat set up on the square in Jacksonville for the Living Museum on the Squar… And played a little music. So far everything seems to be working fine, though have only browsed.
