To have the pieces to finish off the other pending clock repair. Will try to remember to get on that after cleaning the bench.

Now to move on to cleaning up the work bench so I can finish at least one of the clock projects. Which reminds me that I need to order bits.

Got it all measured, weighed, mixed and sitting on a shelf dissolving. Looks about right so hoping it’s the right mixture.

That’s what I’m gonna try anyway. If it works great. If not, haven’t wasted much of either alcohol or flake shellac.

Finally figured the ratio was 1:4 for a 2lb cut (thinking its the dense problem this am). Think that means 1/4 oz. solid to 1 oz. liquid.

Not sure if I am being dense or if most folks don’t mix small amounts. Need to make up small batch of shellac, having trouble finding how.
