Automotive addictions and general tomfoolery: Accessory turn signals of the 20’s and 30’s

Some of theses I have seen. Some only heard of and others are new/real old. Love the skull!

Skull stop signal

Update: Just sitting here and noticed that this is (on my monitor anyway) larger than life.    Looks from measuring a dime that the one in the picture measures 3/4 inch and a real dime is 11/16 so the skull is about 2 3/4 inches wide and maybe 4 inches tall.  The word “STOP” looks to have letters about a half of an inch high. Gonna notice that from a distance. Right…

One hell of a project!  Building a castle (full size) using only indignious materials and human labor.  Many years will be invested in this little effort…

Wish it was on this side of the pond so I could visit…

Dr. Seuss Art

Dr. Seuss Art

Never knew he was a sculpter too. Seeing his drawings, paintings, and sculpture makes me realize just how different his world view really was. He seems to have lived (in his head at least) totally within the different universe that he shared in the books… 😉

Wonderful stuff! Well worth the visit. He even did a nude!  Below the fold…

Bluegill, canary of the water system.  Interesting use of fish.  And reasonable.  But wait till PETA gets involved…

L-Box Carrier

Never seen these before, and I don’t understand why they aren’t everywhere, other than the cost. One of the stories quoted a cost (my price translation from english pounds to us dollars may be off) of around $2,000.00 for a kid carrier version. None the less, these are wonderful! I’m gonna have to build one or more along these lines for use around here.

Fighting for Net Neutrality and Internet Freedom

The fight for net neutrality takes on a somewhat surreal air with a visit to this site.  Strange is almost the word.  Not quite the “I’m from the Internet” kind of strange but close…

BBC NEWS | UK | England | West Yorkshire | Tornado hits during freak storm

My favorite remark in the article:  “At least it livened up an otherwise mundane day.”. Strange folk, those English… 😉
