Got it mostly finished this morning. New pictures are up at Pictures of the Foot Bridge. Too tired to do or write more right now.

Nice. But my wife is going to drive me CRAZY now–she liked it before you started putting plants on it, now she is going to HAVE to have something like that…….no, we don’t have any water to put it over, since when did that matter?

So build a lily pond with a small stream going out and around and put it over that. 😉

On the other hand it would work just as well as a land based design. And could work with either floor or not. I am thinking on the design of some freestanding gazebos to build and place around the property for whatever but haven’t finalized them yet (like they ever will be).

This one took 88 (so far) landscape timbers and about 16 pounds of 6 inch spikes, several pounds of assorted rock screws, between 50 and 60 of the 1×6 boards between 30 and 36 inches long, 20+ 5 foot long 1×6’s, 2 19 foot long pieces of roofing metal (each cut into 3 equal pieces), and one 10 foot long ridge piece. At least that is the current mental inventory.

Everything but the landscape timbers and spikes were already on hand and either cost me nothing or the cost had been figured into a previous project. Current out of pocket expenses are right at $300.00 + loads of time…
