Camper Outside Almost Done
Outside of the camper is almost done. Still got a lot to do inside, as well as all the wiring both 12 and 120 volt, but getting a lot closer.
Caught Cat taking a picture of the front as I was getting one of the back. Bit cluttered with scraps, but soon after this we cleaned it all up, loaded tools and some wood inside, hooked it up to the truck and moved it over here to finish the inside.

Put the tail lights from the popup on. Battery is for my cordless/corded screwdriver. Have not needed to recharge it since the project started.

Left side done. Blue water container is what I am planing to use for washing hands, cleaning up, potable water, and such. Got to build a shelf to hold it, in a location that will allow an area below the spout for a sink, tote, or bowl, for catching the water.

Mounted the spare tire on the front wall. Planning on building an enclosure to hold batteries and charger below it on/in the tongue.

Right side done.

Added some tie points on the back to tie a tarp to. Couple of poles and ropes and we got shade.

Added a layer of plywood over the original flooring. Bit more weight but a lot stronger floor. Cat’s legs and feet in the picture as she takes pix of the inside.
Looks good! Are you planning on having any windows? I know you said that you were going to have an A/C in it, any kind of heat? I guess I’m just thinking in terms of ventilation at the moment…I have hay fever (or something) and the ablility/lack thereof to move air in and out is somewhat near the top of my priorities, I guess.
Be sure and keep the pics coming as you finish the inside-adding shelves, pool table, wireless internet cafe, etc. (just being flippant here, but then again, I’m not sure if I should give you any ideas…)
Windows, yes. Got an old camper shell that I am gonna take the roll out windows out of and put on the sides about 3 feet from the front just under the start of the curve of the top. That puts them on either end of the bed so should have good cross ventilation when sleeping. Door will also have a fold down/removable panel over screen for airflow.
AC may not get put in this season, then again may.
Heat is still questionable. I have the propane heater that came out of the popup but not sure that I want to use it/loose that much storage/living cubic space. May just go with one of the ceramic or oil filled heaters and hope for electrical hookup availability. Can always retrofit it in. And the inside setup that I am working on now is not the way it will always be. Screws make for easy(ier) changes.
I guess habitation areas are the ONLY place that you’ll do Windows, eh?
…couldn’t pass that one up….
