Filed square holes in 2 brass cup washers to mount the minute hand so it doesn’t flop. Still ticking very nicely. Half hour chime correct.

That done, maybe I can sleep now. Or at least in a little while as am now gonna have to unwind a bit… 😉

The bent part was in the levers. After it all looked like it should work, it did! Have now oiled it and it’s ticking happily away.

Couldn’t stand it. Went back to the clock and figured out what had to go where in the gear train and then what had to be bent and how much.

Gonna call it a night and start on it again in the morning. Maybe it will be magically working when I get to it tomorrow… 😉

And since this was part of it’s problem when it came in, the pictures I took when disassembling it don’t help much either. 🙁

Got a book on it but the pictures it has don’t show the critical linkages clearly enough to help.

And with stuff bent when I got the clock. Think I have most of it back aligned and straightened but may have to see another one to be sure.

Got the clock back together. Now trying to get my head wrapped around the strike stop portion. Nothing like gears and levers out of sync.
